Webmin

Hello,

I have setup webmin to display in a sub category by using the proxy methods. So that now users go to

https://secure.shanerutter.co.uk/webmin/

and it will load webmin.

I have CSF (ConfigServer Security & Firewall) installed but the module has stopped working correcly. I can click on the module to load up the main modules screen, but as soon as i try to do anythink i receive a error message. I have provided a picture.

How do I upgrade to the latest version of webmin?

I installed virtualmin with the install script on this site. Does virtualmin package updates take care of any future webmin updates? or I need to do something to keep webmin up to date.

I get this whenever I reload the zone on my Webmin server syncing from a Virtualmin server.

the Zones were synced with Cluster DNS Slaves, it made the zones, but no records.

Both machines run Debian, apparently with the same BIND version.

Hello, Could someone help me with the details of setting up my server as a NTP server to pass the time to my routers and switch? I have Virtual-min installed. I performed a search on NTP and the search came up with setting the configurables of the NTP server, Time zone, Set time, and Time sync.

I have a suspicion that my server is not sending ntp packets to my devices, but only getting ntp packets for setting the server time.

For some reason Webmin, and many other programs do not startup after a reboot. When I go into the webmin bootup and shutdown settings then click webmin, I then choose "Yes" to startup after boot. Once I hit Save, I get:

Failed to save action : Failed to open /etc/webmin//rc5.d/S99webmin for writing : Bad file descriptor

I am running Webmin 1.520 with Virtualmin GPL 3.80 on Ubuntu 9.10 32bit on an EC2 box.

Something else I noticed that I thought was odd, under the Bootup and Shutdown area, EVERYTHING say's "No" in the "At Boot?" column.

Where do I go to restart Apache in Virtualmin/Webmin? Also how can I enable mod_rewrite for my sites? It is attached as a module in the Apache config but when I try to upload a htaccess file that was working perfect on another server under cPanel it doesn't work. Someone please help :(. I am having a hell of a time moving my sites to a Virtualmin server :(.

i was hoping someone could help me out with a problem i am having. I want to migrate a webmin/virtualmin installation to a new server with better hardware.

short of re-creating every account / user / site manually, is there an easy way to migrate webmin to a new server?

First off Webmin/Virtualmin is excellent, thank you to the developers for this wonderful application.

Everything is well except I'm having a very difficult time with multiple domains pointing to one domain.

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

I created a virtual server for DOMAIN.COM. I went to BIND and added 'A' records for NS1.DOMAIN.COM AND NS2.DOMAIN.COM as well as NS records. I then registered the name servers and IP's with my registrar and added the NS1/2.DOMAIN.COM name server to the DOMAIN.COM domain.

DOMAIN.COM is working fine.

I have a joomla installation on a virtual server. When a user registers with the site a system email is sent to the site administrator notifying that a new user has signed up. These system emails are not being sent to the site administrator, instead they are being returned to the root user mailbox as failed.
