Help! (Home for newbies)

I create a new server, but my username doesn't have access to the home directory. I've added myself to the new group, but still I don't have access.

I'd like my username to have access to all new created servers by default - how can I achieve this?

Additionally, when requesting a Let's Encrypt certificate - it couldn't write to the virtual server's home folder, until I changed permissions to 777.

I am trying to migrate a server from Cpanel on "old server". I have filled out the migration form and filled out the specific fields for domain name, user name and password. I get this error message:

Validating migration file .. .. validation failed : Could not find mail aliases file for example.com in backup

I have successfully migrated other smaller sites from "old server". But this one is 660mb and generates the error.

Any suggestions?

When I run the CRON manually it works without a problem: I have executed the CRON as root of the virtual server and it fired fine. I have executed the CRON as the admin of the virtual server and it fired fine.

Hi, i need help on this. I installed Virtualmin on VPS CentOS 7. Installation done with all green but only this line below appear.

"The filesystem / could not be remounted with quotas enabled. You may need to reboot your system, and/or enable quotas in the Disk Quotas module. "

May i know how to enable the quotas? i can't access through browser...

Hello everyone, I have a server already with webmin running perfectly and I would like to install virtualmin to work together with webmin, how to do this easily and without problems? can I create a virtual host using ruby and the other sites with php? Will ram consumption increase a lot using virtualmin with webmin?

I have a server with a SSD and a Hard Disk. /home is located on the SSD. Can I move e g. the "homes" subdirectory of each homedir automatically to the HD? Maybe with a symlink: /home/domain1/homes -> /home_on_hd/domain1/homes ? Could there be any pitfalls?

hi guys, im new to virtualmin and my question is 1) where should i add all the webpages, is it in the document root or inside the /var/www ? 2) do i need to change the path for the document root to var/www? 3) i have installed my ubuntu server in the virtualbox and my question is do i need to use same hostname i declared for my ubuntu server with the virtualmin virtual server? this is my first question to this forum and i do hope that you guys can help me with this. thanks.
