Help! (Home for newbies)

Hello,

I'm confused with creating subdomains on Virtualmin, I've had a read around, but am still not clear on this.

I have the domain domain.com which is hosted on my Virtualmin server and has been created as a Virtual Server. All good there.

I wish to create subdomains for my users as client1.domain.com, client2.domain.com, etc...

Should I create them as new Virtual servers? I was reading about subservers but got even more confused.

I only need website functionality (no mail, mysql, ftp, etc...).

Before adding a virtual server with VirtualMin on a host computer managed by VirtualMin, a server is running. What is the virtual relationship with virtual servers that VirtualMin will add to this server that is not included with Virtualmin? You can see the architecture I understand from the link below. Am I right to understand architecture?

I have been working on this for most of the day but it is apparent I am totally out of my depth.

I upgraded my Vultr server with some extra RAM. Once everything come back on line I was getting a 502 gateway error

The nginx logs have the following error

I'd like to rewrite all urls what contain uppercase characters to lowercase version.

domain.com/Example > domain.com/example

domain.com/EXAMPLE > domain.com/example

domain.com/eXample > domain.com/example

What would be best option?

I think that manually editing /etc/nginx/nginx.conf is not optimal.

I have been wracking my brain on this for a while. I have 5 domains hosted on my VPS and at work, everything works great. At home, not so much. For example, if I try to visit https://nextcloud.smccloud.com I get sent to https://drewcp.com but the URL shows the correct site. It seems to send people to the last site created if it is going to do this. Does anyone have any clue what could cause this? My VPS is running Ubuntu 16.04.1.

I have been using Virtualmin and Webmin GPL for several years, and I think it was a long time ago the last time that I needed to use the Forum, which reflects how well everything has been running with these amazing pieces of software.

I have discovered the feature to rename a virtual server, and find it very useful, together with the fact that I normally do not host my own DNS server anymore, so I have my domains names pointing to my IP, and just by creating a virtual server with that domain on Virtualmin everything runs smoothly.

On a running server with Debian 7 and Webmin+Virtualmin running (uptime was 320 days), Virtualmin just disapeared and is nowhere to be seen :-( I read 2 threads about similar cases, tried both solutions, does not work. I was removing a few packages, (proftpd, mailman, awstats, webalizer, clamav and spamassassin) that I am not using (and I have been doing this on other servers with no problem). I have the authentic theme but on the left instead of Webmin/Virtualmin I now have Webmin/Dashboard.

Hello all, Unfortunately I am hacked and as a newbie I need any advice to lower the damage. My site was on fresh ubuntu 16 on digitalocean install, with fresh virtualmin installation. My site was using wordpress. What I did, was to upload wordpress installation(version 4.9.1) to my domain that I recently registered and forget it on installation process for a week.
