Help! (Home for newbies)

Yup...just setup a Virtual Server and a Sub-Server under that VS. What I'd like to know is if I can prevent access outside of my network to that sub-server?

Main site: www.example.com which is public facing on ns1.example.com Home Directory: /home/username

Sub-Server: subserver.example.com Home Directory: /home/username/domains/subserver.example.com

Basically, the content in the sub-server's public_html file would be a static website containing information that only a few people would be permitted to access.

I had already several virtualhost with nginx running when I installed Virtualmin

Therefore I went to Add Server->Import Virtual Server 1) Is this the correct approach?

2) But then I let the default home directory, which I realised it is not the directory where I have my site

Then later I went to Server Configuration->Change Domain Name to change the home directory to my current directory and I get

Failed to change domain name : New home directory already exists

I have installed mbstring by using yum install php56-php-mbstring.x86_64 but still its not working and not showing in phpinfo

Hi, strange question but is it possible to make a template/skeleton for a newly created domains so it can also create certain file structure already inside public_html folder - for example all files for Wordpress installation and also template MySQL database with certain structure? (and not via Virtualmin WP script installation, I have my own preloaded with certain tweaks/modules/customisations). Thank you!

In incognito mode I haven't this problem.. I've try to remove cookies and to clear cache

I want to enable http2 but I just cannot figure it out. It may seem I have trouble with the workers mdm and Apache not restarting. But I really don't know... I would gladly appreciate some step by step instructions on how to activate http2. Thanks in advance.

I try to figure out why apache goes down every few days. I'm on Digital Ocean with Ubuntu Linux 16.04.3, Webmin version 1.872 and Virtualmin version 6.02. The last 3 weeks apache stops about every week and I have to start it again. My installation is clean, I have not added or changed anything. The most extreme thing I did is to increase space on digital ocean. What I can see on apache error log is:

I noticed that the Amazon S3 backup fails for one of my specific virtual domains , but there are no specific errors in the backup log, there is just a mention that the backup for that domain failed (backup is marked as partially successful)

Is there any log file i could check for additional details?

I know enough Linux sysadmin to be dangerous but not enough to be reliably safe. :(

I have a new 16.04 VPS and have just installed webmin. I would like to setup a sftp user, william, via webmin who is allowed to write under /home/websitename/htdocs/ via SFTP and not cause problems with apache reading the files, which are all right now owned by www-data:www-data. Basically, they are designers and content folks, and this is a Joomla site. This should coexist with my developers having ssh access.

Hello, I've just installed a freshly new virtualmin on ubuntu and upon virtual host creation I see the following error:

Performing other Apache configuration .. .. configuration failed : Failed to copy /etc/php/7.0/cgi/php.ini to /home/domains/domain.com/etc/php7.0/php.ini : cp: preserving times for '/home/domains/domain.com/etc/php7.0/php.ini': Operation not permitted

Any particular reason why this issue occurs? Thanks!
