Not sure what I'm missing, but when I create a new virtual server as a 'top level domain', everything works fine. But when I create 'domain alias' to an existing domain, the domain is created, but nothing changes in the NGINX config. This results in in a 404 for the new alias domain. I'm running VirtualMin on CentOS. Any help would be really appreciated.

Is there a way to force virtualmin to use the sni like certbot-auto does?

I have setup virtualmin on a digitalocean VPS. Installation went smoothly and I choose the LEMP bundle.

I have added a domain name and domains seem to resolve to their appropriate virtual host but I have some dns issues that I don't know how to resolve.

I want to let digitalocean manage as much of the DNS as possible.

When I check the domain on a DNS checking site I get the following errors:

I have made a decision after 7 years of hosting using Cpanel I'm going to do an entire public server using virtualmin pro. I build and configure my own servers and rack them in a local datacenter.

My only concerns are I am so used to CSF for a firewall front end that I might be a little lost for a while with the virtualmin equivalent.

Reasons for switching it up... I love Nginx and I love Ubuntu and WHM doesn't support it. I don't see why everyone isn't using Nginx.

All updates have been made and server rebooted.

We have multiple domains on this server. One of our user's email account is not showing any email in the INBOX when using Roundcube, Outlook, iPhone. All new mail stopped showing a couple of days ago. Mail that is in subfolders under the inbox work and are viewable.

I am testing virtualmin usage in scenario that is common in cPanel usage. What I would like to achieve is to give non-root user ability to manage his own domain (web,email,DNS) and to create functional sub-servers, with different DNS domain name that has its own web site, and mail domain. I have enabled Using root account I was able to create virtual server with it's own owner, that has (I believe) all necessary permisions When I log to virtualmin as server owner, I can manage previously created virtual server.

I've installed Virtualmin on my second server and I love it! I'm ditching WHM/CPANEL and transferring all domains. But I stumbled on one issue that keeps me busy for a few days now: ALL e-mail is sent to one user on one domain. I've searched everywhere, but I can't get it. The server sees the right domain, but it still places the mail in the wrong location. When I check the procmail log I see the following:

Just reinstalled a server, and seems to have everything running, but email is giving me problems. To make sure it wasn't an issue when restoring my sites, I created a new testsite and a mail user for that site.

When I log into usermin and want to compose a message, I'm seeing this message: Failed to open /home/testdomain.dk/homes/dd/.tmp/.tmp_MTM4NzMxMzc4NQ_usermin_redirected_dd.testdomain.dk for writing : No such file or directory

Anyone know how to fix this issue?

My question is: should I create a virtual server for the master administrator domain? Or is that domain a special case because it already has default/initial configuration related to it? If I do create a virtual server for that domain, what happens to the existing configuration for that domain? Does it all work out OK? (If the hostname is mail.example.com - can/should I create a virtual server for example.com and a sub-server for mail.example.com? Or vice-versa?)
