Secured out of my own Hostname Domain with Lets Encrypt

I setup the Let'S Encrypt through the control panel of Webmin/Virtualmin.

Under Virtualmin> Manage SSl Certificate I had the choice to request a certificate for "domains associated with this server" or "domains listed here"

The former listed the 2 domain names on the virtual server, and the latter listed the server's host domain name.

I chose the former thinking that the current LE certificate was covering the hostname domain.

I then requested (re-requested) the certificate.

Mistake.

See all files in a www diretory

Hi Everyone

Just started to use Virtualmin.

(OS = Ubuntu 16.04) - (Webmin = 1.881) - (Usermin = 1.741) - (Virtualmin = 6.02-3)

I have my own domain and configured Virtualmin with it and made a sub-server under it.

Its called something.domain.dk

In the something.domain.dk subdomain im gonna have a lot of PDF files and other files.

Webmin certificate issue

Hi all,

I have a Webmin running on Ubuntu which is also running UBNT Virtual Wireless LAN Controller for several sites. I have installed a certificate for the controller and this is working fine. My colleague insisted on installing Webmin for easy server management. I'd like to secure connection to the server over https with the proper certificate. When I apply existing certificate I've used for ubnt (the FQDN is the same, just different port) I get an error as below. I installed the certificate in Webmin\Webmin Configuration.

you dont have permission to access "/" on this server

I have just created a new virtual server and successfully ran the wordpress installer script accepting the default install location (ie mydomain.com/wordpress).

If i enter mydomain.com/wordpress it works,

however, if i type mydomain.com (without also using /wordpress) into a web browser i get the following error

Error 403 Forbidden You dont have permission to access / on this server.

I have gone into file manager and ownership and permissions are as follows;

Create New Account Plan. How to disable Mail Boxes

I have setup a new account plan in virtualmin. In "Allow virtual server features", i have unchecked Mail for domains, Spam filtering and virus filtering.

When i go back to the "Account Plans" list i notice that Mailboxes still shows 2. If i have disabled mail for domains, why is this the case?

How do i change this? (i dont want this plan having any mail capability)

My assumption is that this must be changed in "System Setting>Features and Plugins"? (the question is why?)

Can't access Virtualmin admin page

Hope someone can help...

I can't access our Virtualmin admin page. It looks like someone has changed our password for the account we used to use (possibly a previous administrator).

We used to use root as the username to login but, when I try to use the password reset form it says it doesn't recognise the user account. I get emails from virtualmin about our system backups on localhost.localdomain but if I try to use this domain on the password reset form it doesn't recognise it.

Is there anything I can do to regain access?

Thanks

Mike
