Dear Virtualmin community

I've got the following things which i need to improve or repair in my virtualmin installation

Virtualmin Wordpress install error 404

I have installed Virtualmin following the instructions using the install script Virtualmin Installation on Debian Linux. It installed without error. I then set up a Virtual Host/Domain and installed Wordpress Virtualmin Introduction. These both were without error. However after the install of Wordpress was complete and I was provided the install.php - <domain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php> It resolved to a 404.

Domain DNS managed by VirtualMin but Email hosted elsewhere

Hi there. I am looking at pointing a domain name to my virtual server. The DNS is currently managed elsewhere, but I want to manage it from within VirtualMin.

I want the email to stay how it is though (not through VirtualMin).

Do i just need to make sure that the A record to mail. points to the same IP address as it currently does, and MX records are created to match what it currently is? Also, I need to make sure the SPF record matches what it currently is.

Can send mail through Usermin or GMAIL but not from PHP

Hi. I've created an email id info@domain.com and I'm able to send and receive mails through this id if I use Usermin. I've also used following settings to add this id to GMAIL (as sender) and I'm able to send mails through GMAIL as well.

Email: info@domian.com
Host: mail.domian.com
Username: info.domian
Password: **My password**
Port 587 (tls)

When I used PHPMailer in my website with following settings. I get an error that says 'Failed to connect to SMTP server'

Can't change PHP version

Hi.

I have PHP 5.6, 7.0 and 7.1 installed on Virtualmin (Debian 8). I have choose version 5.6 for a subdomain but phpinfo shows 7.0 no matter what I do at Server Configuration -> PHP Versions.

Is there a way to directly edit the apache2 conf to set the PHP version for a domain or subdomain on Virtualmin?

Thanks.

root:root ownership

hi guys, one thing I am experiencing that I find frustrating is that if I log into a virtual server as the original server admin account it automatically assigns ownership for anything I add in the pub_html directory to root:root.

why can't it be smart enough to realise that the virtual server has its own automatically generated admin account and instead assign the correct ownership according to each virtual servers own user and domain?
