Help! (Home for newbies)

Just got a message about updating httpd tools and its showing a issue.

Centos 6.9

Some VPSes use Port 161 to communicate with server and need this port to be opened. In Network Configuration stage of installation, the server suspends and you won't access to the server unless you turn the server off and on again manually. If we could tell install.sh to open this port (161) on configuration, it would help very well.

How can We add such configuration?

Coming from years of using cpanel, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the logic of virtualmin. For example I want to create a user account, and have 4 domains under that account. So this one user can create databases/ftp accounts/subdomains etc, for those 4 domains, and host 4 different websites, one for each domain.

I found an error in the installation, I do not understand what this represents, how to solve this problem? Please help me, thank you~

When using the Wordpress install script I get the message:

"PHP module mysql is required .... could not find global php.ini file"

Dear Virtualmin-Experts,

I`m new to Webmin/Virtualmin, coming from Plesk.

So far I`m impressed about the functionality and did a setup of a new server with Ubuntu 16.04 and running the install.sh of virtualmin to have a clean install.

Everything works, except the fail2ban security. On my old server its setup with iptables, so I checked with iptables -L, but even after 6 or 7 forced wrong logins I couldn´t find my ip. So I searched for the firewall and found, that FirewallD is installed, together with iptables, called Linux Firewall in Webmin.

I would like to configure sftp to work with existing users.

in file zilla i can configure public and private authentication keys using putty, however, apparently virtualmin is supposed to provide a means of doing this itself.

How do i use virtualmin to generate, and where is, the key stored for existing users? (not the key auto generated for new users...i read in another forum post that keys are found in .ssh (this doesnt exist in my user directory).

Hi, Have bought PRO version just to have option to install Foswiki script, but it kicks some error.

"This script cannot be installed, as this virtual server does not meet its requirements : Missing command rcs"

I'm on debian. What that's that "rcs" about?

I use a wildcard certificate from lets encrypt that i got from using "acme.sh", virtualmin/webmin DOES NOT recognize it through the panel, but magically recognizes it as a lets encrypt certificate during domain creation and re-requests a certificate on each alias creation... which wipes out the wildcard certificate I put in on the main domain, and all sub domains. I then have to recopy the wildcard back into place, any further subdomain attempt wipes it -again-
