Help! (Home for newbies)

Hi,

A couple aof days ago I was asking about setting up more than one set of DNS pairs on my server.

EG

ns1.Host-One.com --> 65.34.124.65 ns2.Host-One.com --> 65.34.124.68

and

ns1.Host-Two.com --> 65.34.124.65 ns2.Host-Two.com --> 65.34.124.68

Now that I've just learnt about Reverse DNS I can see that this could cause a problem.

Since the Reverse DNS of 65.34.124.65 and 65.34.124.68 will have TWO different domain names to route back to !

I tried to do a mysqldump of one of the databases created with VM withing a virtual server. I tried using 'root' as the user and the root password for password but get an authentication error.

Are the databases created with root (or the user running VM) as an administrator? I'm assuming that if I try to create an inital database within VM at install time that I will run into the same permissions issue.

Is there a setting I'm missing to have 'root' as a valid user for newly created databases?

What are the valid values for this field. Each time I enter a value (believing that specifying this field will override where the application will be installed) generates an "Failed to save server template : Missing or invalid URL path in row 1" error message.

I have tried using 'phpmyadmin', '${DOM}/phpmyadmin', 'public_html/phpmyadmin' and 'www.${DOM}/phpmyadmin', all without success.

I have Roundcude installed at Virtual Host, Mydomain.com and I can login without any problems. When I try to telent in, I get this:

telnet mydomain 110 +OK Dovecot ready. user beverly.mydomain.com +OK pass mypass -ERR Authentication failed.

mypass is the same password I use to login to roundcube So this tells me that there is an issue with the authentication in Dovecot or IMAP or both from the outside. I am able to send mail but, I am unable to receive mail. Where do I look for the config option to correct this?

I have a server in Panama that has just been set up with ubuntu 8.10 and webmin.

If I have the server re-installed with Centos5 and I pay for Virtualmin pro, and installation, what assistance can i expect to get dns set up properly using easydns, email running rdns, domain keys, and spf.

I appreciate what i ask is outside of the scope of purchasing Virtualmin, so I expect to pay for service.

Now many days/weeks does it take to get virtualmin installed after I complete the order?

Whenever I try to send mail to any of the sites I've set up with VirtualMin I get several errors one of which is "relay access denied". I have checked everything but I am guessing I've missed something. Can anyone give me a few places to look at? Below is part of the text from the error. I send an email to one of my other email accounts on another server and when I replied to the message, I got the error

I posted here a few hours ago but I cant find the post. This is just a test

I created a virtual server and thought I had all the Apache stuff setup right including a default web page. However, when the server was created, the html_public directory exists, but it has no web page. The only .htaccess file that was created was created in the 'stats' directory.

Any pointers on where I should look to see what I missed?

I have the database name to create set to ${PREFIX}_cart The domain name is 'ez-ms.com'. However, the created database turned out to be 'ez_ms_com_cart' which is NOT what should have happened... I expected 'ez_ms_cart'.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

I have Virtualmin installed but I am unable to get Postfix OR sendmail to start. I am unable to receive email for any of my accounts. I think I understand that Virtualmin does not use sendmail so how do I check to see what the problem is?
