Help! (Home for newbies)

hello everyone.

i am new to virtualmin/webmin which i installed on a hosted vps from peakservers.com.

i'm running centos 6 with one ip address.

i am also new to vps hosting and having this degree of control.

there sure a lot of settings to wade thru. cool.

my intention is to host 3 domains that i currently control.

i see my one apache server and can connect to it.

i see settings for master and slave zones, virtual hosts and virtual servers.

perhaps i will need them to do this.

Installation went well, it seems. Two things:

Re-checking and refreshing configuration in yellow bar doesn't go away. Process gets stuck at "SpamAssassin and Procmail are installed and configured for use.", sometimes the "ClavAV is installed..." and webmin service stops immediately afterwards. Which I have to manually restart. A manual "virtualmin check-config" returns: "Failed to query Postfix config command to get the current value of parameter recipientbccmaps:"

and sometimes:

hi, the first selected mirror (mirror.1000mbps.com) in the install.sh script is offline. The installation fails on that problem. Is there a way to bypass this situatation? Can i probably choose my own mirror?

There is a bug or several bugs in DirectAdmin to Virtualmin migration tool. I am migrating a reseller level DIerctAdmin user and the tool imports only part of the databases, doesnt setup subdomains and other issues. Is this something official Virtualmin devs can help me with?

redhat 6.5 latest version of wm and vm. on Webmin the bind service wont start (just cycles back to the bind page with no change), but on the command line of the box service named status returns a running service. we are hoping this is related to the bigger issue of not being able to access the mysql server running on the machine (basic wordpress install is saying it cant reach the db server).

I have virtualmin installed in a server with nginx and varnish. I created a new server to add a new website. Everything went well, but I noticed that after a while the php.log was huge, close to a GB. Then when I opened the file, I could only see the following repeated over and over:

I don't know what it is, But I am having a awful time setting up a simple redirect. In a nutshell, I am just trying to forward x.domain.com to domain.com/page1 .

I've combed through these boards and nothing seems to work.

I did get it to work if I add a new subserver, and add a webpage redirect. However, if I do www.domain.com, it redirects to domain.com/page1 instead of domain.com.

Any way to just do a simple subdomain redirect without messing up the main domain?

I'm working on setting up virtualmin on a Centos 6.5 box and have successfully installed everything, but I have a couple of probably FAQ questions on the best practice way to do this. Sorry if it's FAQ but I've searched around for a while and I can't seem to find anything on what I'm trying to do either way..

Firstly, I'm really sorry if this has been dealt with before; if it has, please point me in the right direction.

Basically, a few months ago a few of sites on our server started getting acripts uploaded to them. Usually, these scripts have been removed within a maximum of 6 hours. Immediately after finding these scripts I check the Virtualmin Sys Info page and occasionally the affected sites have been running the HOST command at ridiculous CPU usages. I haven't seen this happening receently
