In an attempt to battle spam I have accidentally installed qmail. Qmail is not configured to deliver, mail on my server, so it doesn't. My users are complaining that all mail sent from webforms is not arriving.

I removed qmail and installed sendmail. Now all the webforms are complaining there is nothing to send it with (Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.)

Where can I specify which smtp to use? Which smtp was by default set by Virtualmin?

I'm back again, and wondering if this is possible. After my server got hacked by a spam bot and managed to get one of my ip addresses blocked with all the major sip's, I have since resolved the spam issue, and tightened security on the server.

Now after talking with a mail server company, they suggested to change the mail domain name. Previously, the mail came via the server name server01.domain.tld, but they suggested to change the domain for mail to be something like mx.newdomain.tdl

Ok. this maybe as simple as I put something wrong in this setting section on Tbird.

Hi folks, Well this certianly is a learning experiance but I have to say in my personal opinion a fun one.

Now here is something I am not sure about.

I have done a port scan with http://mxtoolbox.com/

Now according to this I have pop3 and imap blocked. I have port forwared it in the router so I know that is not where the problem lies.

Hi everyone, Im having a big trouble with my users on www.miliun.com. When they register, a link is sent on there mails, but the mail goes to JUNK. I've tried everything to fix it up, but no way...

Well, first off hello to all.

Now here is a small issue I have run into and I hope that some guru here might know what I have done wrong to help me fix it.. :)

OS: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Virtualmin 4.0.8 Asus RTN66U router.

Now here is the the problem.

When I got to FTP in to the site I have created in Virtualmin it is slow uploading files and it seems anything larger than (6,478 bytes) times out.

I do hope that someone might have a suggestion or even a where to maybe look idea?

Note: as of a post abit down I have formatted and re-installed everything even tried a change of distro with the same issues.

Old stuff:

Trying to setup postfix but having a issue with the SMTP header.

Using the SMTP check page I get this where its showing my internal hostname/dns of server.revnet not the vhost I'm checking from.

The title says it all. Everything was working fine, and I was working with one of my virtual servers looking at logs etc... then when I refreshed the page I was greeted with a Webmin UI and the Virtualmin was gone.

The module is still there if I look in the server section along with my virtual servers (the multiple apache hosts) Now all I have is just webmin. I no longer have the virtualmin link in the upper left-hand corner, it is now just webmin.

Hi All,

Just had a major spam attack on the server, I am trying to find out the cause of what happened, but I can see the email address they have come from and disabled that.

Thing is now, that the server is now blocked on my main IP address, but we have 10 IP's, and clients aren't happy they cannot email to hotmail, yahoo, outlook, btinternet....

Is there a way I can change the IP address postfix uses so they can get back to sending out emails, as I would have to email all the IPS's to get the IP address un-blocked, which could take days.
