First post here, I hope i'm doing everything in the rules, if not, just let me know.

I just got a powerful dedicated server in order to merge 2 dedicated that i was using. One was for a windows VM and the other was hosting my sites under Centos+ a mod of Virtualmin distributed by OVH. I installed Proxmox in order to create 2 Vm in this dedicated. The windows part was quite easy.

Now here I am, my host has a dedicated IP and I connect to the proxmox panel either by its IP AA.AA.AA.AA:8006 or by an address given by OVH NSXXXX.IP-XX-XX-XX.NET:8006.

I want to totally reconfigure BIND, so it will assign also at old virtual servers my new address.

I'll explain better: I'm using virtualmin with success from some time now, and I have perfected my server templates, so when I add a new virtual-server everything goes automagically OK! And that's wonderful!

Now I decided to experiment with IPV6 so I created a Hurricane Electric tunnel, that is 100% working right now, So I have a ipv6 interface with my ipv6 and I gave an ipv6 to eth0.

Hello, I don't want admin.domain.com and webmail.domain.com subdomains when creating virtual servers. How to disable them?

I have scoured the net for the past two days looking for a way to have a Sub Server, EX: subserver1.domain.com, share the same Document Root as domain.com

It does not seem like it is possible.

What I am trying to do is set up this WordPress mulitblog 'hack';

I've done it in the past on Kloxo, cPanel and at least one other by simply changing the Document Root.

I'm in the process of migrating to Amazon EC2. I have backed up my sites from my previous VirtualMin and installed them on the new EC2 server.

However, none of my sites are visible externally.

When I ping a site, it returns the internal address for the server and not the public facing IP.

I migrated my VirtualMin from my own physical server to an Amazon EC2 server.

However, now every site only displays a page that says

Index of /

I have done a re-check config and get no errors, and the apache logs show no errors either.

I'm not sure what else to check.

I want to replace from a web server to a new web server.

I use CentOS6.7, Webmin 1.760, Virtualmin 4.18 GPLs.

There is about 100 virtualhost with it.

I prepared a new web server.

How can I Back up and How can i restore ?

I have tried [Backup and restore], and then i could not found virtual host list.

I hope all virtual hosts being created by automaticaly in new server.

Please let me know whether i need to create all the virtulhosts as one by one by hand.

We are in the process of switching over from xen to kvm machines... with xen machines you can use 'xm console somevm' to attach directly to a vm's console (as opposed to attaching via ssh). How do you attach directly to kvm machines created by cloudmin?

I have looked at virsh 'virsh list --all' gives me an empty list even though there are several kvm machines running on this host. So I suppose virsh can't connect to these? Maybe there is some configuration I should check?

hi folks ... i migrated from a dedicated server to a vps.

i installed a fresh copy of virtualmin/webmin on the new vps centos

then i backed up domains from the original dedicated box to the new vps and then restored them.

changed nameserver/ip info at the registrar late friday night and as far as i can tell everything has propagated.

so all the websites are visible and i am receiving email using the same program and settings as before the move (which was my goal)

HOWEVER i can not send mail at all.

I can receive email but cannot send email. From the mail log, it seem like the email function is working properly but not sure why my gmail or hotmail cannot receive email send from my server. I can receive my own email (for example, send from my email to my email (same server)).
