[SOLVED] Installing libgd2-xpm-dev and build-essential in CentOS

Hi,

my manually created logwatch reports show these messages:

No Sys::CPU module installed.  To install, execute the command:
    perl -MCPAN -e 'install Sys::CPU'

No Sys::MemInfo module installed.  To install, execute the command:
    perl -MCPAN -e 'install Sys::MemInfo'

When I attempt to install Sys::CPU I get the following message:

Multiple websites on same VPS

Hi I'm a newbie and I'm not really sure of what I'm doing but: I have a VPS (vps123.vpsdomain.net) with one IP and what i need is to have all my websites over there. So I've installed Virtualmin on Ubuntu Server 14.04.3 LTS and now I don't know how to go forward!

Let's say for example i have 3 php websites projects inside 3 different folders:

  1. cookingrecipes
  2. findbestcarforyou
  3. ihavenofantasy

Each website/project should have his own folder, database, his own ftp (like they are 3 different websites, or something like that...)

WordPress Updates Not Installing

I'm having a problem with my non-self-hosted Wordpress, http://theveranda.ca/theambler/. When I try to update WP itself and the plugins, I get the message:

Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/release/en_CA/wordpress-4.3.1.zip… Download failed.: Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?) Installation Failed

I would like to know how to upgrade MySQL5.1.73 to MySQL 5.6.17+.

Hi everyone.

I am a newbies in Linux.

I use Webmin 1.770 virtualmin 4.18.gpl on CentOS_64bit 6.7.

I would like to install the InoERP program.

InoERP program requires PHP 5.5+ and MySQL 5.6.17+.

I've read how to install PHP multi version for PHP5.5.

I would like to know how to upgrade MySQL5.1.73 to MySQL 5.6.17+.

I need any other advice.

Thank you.

Backup to remote NAS storage seems almost impossible??

Hi I hope someone can please help. I have a readynas nv+ and I want to backup my virtualmin/webmin and all server files to it as a compressed tar/zip etc file...

I'd hoped to have a full backup once per week at least, or maybe with nightly incremental backups.

Now I've tried and tried via the built in backup filesystem module and tried with bacula and I can't get anything to work.

After much trying I realised that bacula needs to run also on the backup machine so this is no good.

I may have unmounted something by mistake

I was having a look at Disk Quotas, which directed me to Disk and Network Filesystems where I attempted to enable quotas. As /(root filesystem) was not a link I may have clicked on some of the 'Yes' links in the In Use? column.

Now, whenever I try to navigate in Webmin I get 'Failed to open /etc/webmin/apache/site for writing : Read-only file system' and my websites are down.

It seems as though I have unmounted something, any idea what I need to do to get back to normal?

Would a reboot resolve this, I'm hesitant to try in case I make things worse.

how to tell if a page is forwarded from a cached page.

hello -

EDITED:

is there any way to tell by looking at the apache environmental variables if a page forward came from an old(er) cached page?

in other words, say i had a webpage that contained the following link:

http://myDomain(dot)com/index.php?input=oldLink

and then i changed it to:

http://myDomain(dot)com/index.php?input=newLink
