I just purchased a server with CentOs 6.7 32 bit installed on it

I am planning to install virtualmin on it.

Do I need to install PHP and Apache before virtualmin installation ?

Earlier I installed virtualmin and get it working successfully however it had PHP 5.3. I tried to update it to 5.5 by following a tutorial but failed and messed up whole thing.

I need PHP 5.5 for my project.

So can someone guide me how to do this and what is the best way for this?

Hi, not a major issue, but one that niggles me, and I haven't been able to find an option to control the behaviour.

When I create a new virtual site including DNS zone, the zone file it creates has all the names in it as absolute names:

My name is Joseph Stacklin, and I run my own company, blog, and YouTube channel. Recently I stumbled across Webmin and thought it looked childish, however I am willing to try it. That being said, let us talk about my use scenario and I hope that someone can assist me somehow. Also: the following is a HYPOTHETICAL situation and isn't locked into place, however I would love any ideas that the community may have.

webmin ->system->Scheduled Cron Jobs

The command crontab for managing user Cron configurations was not found. Maybe Cron is not installed on this system?

[root@ns1 ~]# crobtab -e

-bash: crobtab: command not found

[root@ns1 ~]# chmod 2755 /usr/bin/crontab

chmod: cannot access `/usr/bin/crontab': No such file or directory

[root@ns1 ~]# crontab -l

-bash: crontab: command not found

[root@ns1 ~]# crontab -e

-bash: crontab: command not found

[root@ns1 ~]# which crontab

the issue is that on my setup system uses the new predictable format like enpXs0Y not ethX so when I run the script I get
"Checking for network interface eth0 .. .. not found. Use the --interface flag to set the correct interface "

but I can not figure out how to use the --interface flag.

I tired different variations of "sh cloudmin-kvm-redhat-install.sh --interface:enpZs0Y" and nothing works.

is it possible?

Hi guys, I've installed Virtualmin DAV Users 3.5 and works ok, but the current logs are not enough informative for my job, I need get how much bytes are upload/download, the current logs are

how can I configure the apache logs for include the file change sizes??..thanks!!

I can unpack the backups in the terminal on the same server but virtualmin fails ist says:

4294967296 extra bytes at beginning or within zip file

This seems to be an issue with zips bigger than 4gb ... I've tried to unpack the zip and tar it but virtualmin can't read the tar properly ...

Have a bind configuration where I have set the default email address to myfirstname.mylastname@domain.com Created a virtual server - all ok.

But it will not allow the domain to be transferred because of the email address formatting. In the SOA record we have

ns1.mydomain.com myfirstname.mylastname.domain.com 1449444406 108...

I changed the email address that I was using to be one like myname@domain.com, and everything worked ok.

I have this sever I got for nearly for free but the problem is smtp port has been blocked by data center because of this providers servers are used for spam since those are very cheap.

So I talked with provider and seems port 25 won't be enable anytime soon so I need to find another way to do to site mail.

I heard you can use Google's SMTP Server to relay mail and get those into my server. I have no idea how to do it. So any one know any good guide or tutorial about it ?

Or any other method to use.
