Setting the path to letsencrypt.sh

Forums:

Hey guys,

I have just created a debian8/Virtualmin installation. Letsencrypt appears to have recently (1 Aug) updated its terms of service. The Debian Lets Encrypt code does not appear to have been updated and so I installed the bash letsencrypt.sh client. In /usr/share/webmin/config.info I have updated the variable letsencrypt_cmd to the path, and restartede webmin, but this does not appear tyo have updated the path (or it is being ignored.

Does anyone have clues as to what I should put in there?

Cheers

[SOLVED] Can't go in directories on main domain

Forums:

Basically I've made a directory called 'test' in /home/(site)/public_html and if I go to (site).com/test or www.(site).com/test it gives me a 404 error.

I replaced all -Indexes with +Indexes and now I can access it from www.(site).com/test but not at (site).com/test.

I also got Virtualmin installed

Any resolution?

Thank you.

EDIT; SOLVED: In webmin > Servers > Apache Configuration I went to the Any on port 80, and changed the path from /var/www/html to /home/(site)/public_html

Can't login into webmin after server reboot with webmin version 1.801-1 and virtualmin 5.03

Forums:

I'v been using webmin+virtualmin on several servers for quite some time. 3 weeks ago aprox. we upgraded some servers to the new webmin and virtualmin versions and apply the new authentic-them. This last weekend we do a scheduled reboot of these server. Only one is presenting a login problem. You can connect to webmin, but when you enters your credentials the browser keeps waiting forever. I'm suspecting that the new theme could be the problem.

By now I have mirrored the server to another for testing, so this what I've done:

Postfix SMTP fails when SASL enable for outgoing mail

Forums:

I have SASL required for retrieving mail via Thunderbird mail client which works well. However, when I try to require SASL for outgoing mail, Thunderbird says the mail was sent successfully, but never is received at the destination email account. The maillog shows these errors when this happens: Jul 22 16:14:10 vps postfix/smtp[32032]: fatal: specify a password table via the `smtp_sasl_password_maps' configuration parameter Jul 22 16:14:11 vps postfix/master[1934]: warning: process /usr/libexec/postfix/smtp pid 32032 exit status 1

Question about clusters

Forums:

We have two DNS servers. ns1 and ns2. Everything except port 53, 80 and 10000 has been closed. There will be a third server that will host our domains. How do we configure Webmin so that when a virtual server is added to host three, it automatically writes the zone files on DNS1 and DNS2? Thanks for your time.

Can Webmin take control of iptables and apply its own rules?

Forums:

I have a CentOS server with NGINX as the webserver and HHVM for PHP.

I'm having an issue where some requests from an external server are "going missing". The external party claims they are being sent and are rejected by our server. From my perspective, I cannot even see the requests hitting the server, i.e. there is no record of them in the syslogs, nginx logs or hhvm logs, which there always is for every received request via this service.

Hacked? /usr/share/webmin/apache32.ico.1

Forums:

I have Ubuntu 12.04 with latest updates running. I found that I had /usr/local/nagios/bin/nrpe -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg -d running a lot so starting digging into it. The file doesn't exist. When I started grep to find where it was coming from, I had two perl scripts masked as image files:

/usr/share/webmin/apache32.ico.1:my @rps = ("/usr/local/nagios/bin/nrpe -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg -d"); /usr/share/webmin/apache.png:my @rps = ("/usr/local/nagios/bin/nrpe -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg -d");
