Using external smtp server from hosting provider

Forums:

I have purchased an email host account from an external email provider, is there a way that i can use email providers smtp settings and mail id and password to send emails from my virtual min hosting.

I tried from Webmin -> Servers -> postfix mail server ->general settings but i dont know where to put my email id and password for the smtp provider.

Block a whole tld with SpamAssassin

Forums:

Does anyone know what code to use to block an entire tld? I know it's considered bad practice but in this case I don't believe it is.

We're getting an enormous amount of spam from the .faith tld which is an el cheapo tld. I've contacted the .faith registrar but they don't care so I'm happy to block it completely from our servers.

Normally I would just go into Webmin > Servers > SpamAssassin Mail Filter > Denied Addresses and enter a wild card for all emails coming from a certain address but it's too time consuming for this tld.

Webmin/Virtualmin UI on port 10000 gives a connection refused after a few hours

Forums:

Hello,

I have been running Virtualmin on a VPS for a few years now. I moved over to DigitalOcean and recreated a new Virtualmin VPS.

Everything was working well until I noticed that I am unable to access the UI on port 10000.

All the other virtual servers work fine and are responsive.

Doing service webmion restart did not do anything and the only thing that seems to fix the issue is rebooting the server.

I also disabled the firewall ufw disable and got the same result.

Custom Commands

Forums:

I am trying to use Custom Commands to create a Custom Command button in Usermin that when clicked displays the current AWStats report for the domain of the user. But nothing I do works.

When I use $DOM/awstats/awstats.pl I get “Output from $DOM/awstats/awstats.pl .. /bin/sh: 1: /awstats/awstats.pl: not found”

Letsencrypt for Webmin Itself

Forums:

It's not overly intuitive.

1) I've been told that Virtualmin is very particular of the packages one has installed on the system and the way to install certbot involves adding a bunch of packages from a backport distro. Seems like there's opportunity for problems there.

2) Google can't show me any documentation for the Let's Encrypt tab of the SSL configuration page.
