Remote Mysql Access Help?

Forums:

Hi all I assume this is the place to put this topic?

Note: i have removed names for privacy at this stage

Im trying to configure a database for remote access, and while I can easily do it though the command line, I was looking for a way to do it though webmin. I have the database created, and the user created, and can access it fine on the local PC either though PHP or PHPmyadmin.

Scheduled Commands missing - Centos7

Forums:

On a previous server the Webmin module Scheduled Commands was available in the System menu. However, on my current system (Centos 7), this module does not appear in the menu,

I have tried exporting the module from another server, and the import process appears to work and says the module is available in /usr/libexec/webmin/at/, but it still does not appear in the menu.

Any suggestions welcome.

Webmin/Virtualmin doesn't start any more after an update

Forums:

Hi!

After an update I've made (from within webmin's panel) Webmin/Virtualmin GPL fails to start. I don't know what version was this, the last one, I've updated it a few days ago - I always do this when, in the webmin's panel, a new update is available. So, now I restart the server but Webmin/Virtualmin is not starting.

My OS: Debian Linux 8

I do have access to SSH and when I try to start webmin with "/etc/init.d/webmin start" it says nothing, no error, just nothing.

Results after command "/etc/init.d/webmin restart":

Backup to S3?

Forums:

I manage a number of servers on Amazon EC2, all but one use Virtualmin. All accounts on all Virtualmin servers use the scheduled backup feature, with the option to store the backup in S3. It's excellent. I love it.

Example with duo 2fa for webmin

Forums:

Hi all I'd like to ask if duo 2fa would be an interesting for the GUI to implement natively. In the meantime this is my shortcut on how to do it on Ubuntu16.

(Of course you need a duo.com account, a registered app, and every user used must be enrolled, and confirmed). This shouldn't lock ssh out of the system AFAIK.

Best, Manu
