Help! (Home for newbies)

Hi. I'm new to Virtualmin! I just installed it on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, using the Nginx bundle.

Anyway, I wanted to know if it is possible to change the default directory for nginx sites? I'd like to change it from /home/$USER/public_html to, for example "/home/$USER/nginx/public"

when I try to install foswiki using a non-default name the subdirectory to public_html is created with the name specified but the script instructions don't reflect this. Instead I am prompted to choose from a grid of buttons that might take me to the appropriate setup dialogue. None of these options do anything. Has anyone else seen this?

To start off, I find DNS the most confusing thing in the world, so I apologize if this question is rather stupid.

I'm running Virtualmin behind a NAT. Ports 80, 443 and 10000 are forwarded to it.

Virtualmin has a hostname of ns1.sitea.com. I own the sitea.com TLD.

I have other domains that I own, lets call them siteb.com, and sitec.com.

On my registrar's website, the A record for *.sitea.com is my public IP address. siteb.com and sitec.com have both had their nameservers changed to ns1.sitea.com.

Hello, i have done backup but when i check what is backuped up cant find public_html files when backup is moved to another server.

What i am doing wrong ?

Hi , i cannot login with root user to the mysql managed by webmin, did anyone have the same problem?

I can do it with other users though (users from virtual servers)

i am sure its not a host-related, password or firewall issue

i think there is some configuration that prevents to login with root but i dont know where.

The objective of this is to have one phpmyadmin installation in one virtualserver, where i will manage all the mysql dbs

Hello, i am trying to backup my server to remote server via ssh option, my ssh port is custom and i get this kind of error

Starting backup of 1 domains to /backups/backup-%d.%m.%y.tar.gz on SSH server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.

Failed to connect to SSH server : ssh: connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 22: Connection refused lost connection

How can i solved this ?

Failed to save SSL options : The SSL private key file /etc/webmin/miniserv.pem does not exist or does not contain a PEM format key

Everytime I try to save SSL options in webmin (Webmin tab -> Webmin Configuration -> SSL Encryption -> Save) it spits out the above error. I've tried with a fresh operating system install three times, Self signed certificates, and the default webmin certificate, lets encrypt certificates. No matter what PEM i point it to, it complains its not correct format. EVEN with the default certificate webmin itself creates on initial install.

Hi friends I'm new and this is the first configuration of virtualmin for me. I have try to share home in LAN with samba but don't work, when I explore the network I cant see the server but the service samba are launched. I attach the config file of samba :
