Help! (Home for newbies)

Hey all,

I have been using Webmin/Virtualmin on my VPS for the last couple of years. I haven't been checking it regularly. Last month I logged in to see to check what updates are available and realized I have no images - only text - in the menu and I can't access some features. I tried changing the template but that didn't work out either. I tried logging in from my mobile phone and the regular mobile front-end was working fine. Trying other browsers, other terminals didn't help either - the front-end doesn't show images once I log into the Virtualmin.

I'm wondering what these options are:

Found in Servers > Nginx Webserver > Document Options

Is there no documentation for this?

I had a virtual server added using a given domain. Deleted the server then attempted to re-create it using the same domain.

But I got the error: "Failed to create virtual server : A ProFTPD virtual server with the same IP address already exists".

What's going on?

EDIT: Looks like I've solved it for now by simply disabled the "ProFTPD Virtual server" feature.

I have a new Virtualmin installation, Centos 7 on AWS. The host is named mailx.somedomain.com , My IP is unrestricted, reverse DNS is verified. I added somedomain.com as a virtual server so I Can get email and have website for it. The website will be at www.somedomain.com not mailx....

After rebooting virtual server names changed to this https://gyazo.com/81bea1656f24e56876a76ccbb2bb2eb7 instead of domain names.

Possible bug?

When i do : dig @dns1.greendns.net www.coinmontagne.com i've a : connection timed out; no servers could be reached

On local server, it's ok.... the dns1.greendns.net is the same server as www.coinmontagne.com

If i do nmap -sU -p 53 dns1.greendns.net i've got :

I am using the Backup All Databases schedule - to backup all databases to a local folder.

As space is not an issue - is there an easy way to create a zip folder of all databases once the backup is completed, including the date as a reference in the folder name would be nice.

This is to stop the backup schedule overwriting the databases on each run, of course .

Any assistance would be appreciated

Hello, I get a message during the installation Virtualmin. what does it mean? Does it important (any worry existed there)? or maybe any problem can be occurred after that? However it shows after that all of modules show installed but this makes my mind some curious about it. I also could not find resource for help about that. here is the line of fault during several Success lines in installation process. also the panel seems works well:

./slib.sh: line 206: 44425 Segmentation fault      tput rc

Hi friends, when i try to connect with filezilla to my server ftp on ubuntu 16.04 and virtualmin I see this error : The server sent a passive response that contains an unreachable address. Passive mode failed. Command: PORT 192.168.200.0-194 149 157 Answer: 500 illegal PORT command Error: The contents of the folder could not be read

Having a slight issue,

under Network Configuration - > Network Interfaces -> I have set the following.

NOTE, I have a static IP address issued by my ISP, for argument sake, 1.1.1.1 the Virtualmin server has been assigned a static IP by my router of 192.168.0.117, (192.168.0.117 will probably be set as the DMZ or i'll set all relevent port forwarding for the DNS, HTTP, etc etc)
