Virtualmin Update issue

dpkg: error processing package google-cloud-sdk (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 137 Errors were encountered while processing: google-cloud-sdk E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Now i have lost access to my server dashboard as well as dashboard for virtual servers on this machine.

Stuck with DNS server setup

Hello, i a bit lost on personal DNS server setup in Virtualmin. There are many posts here and a guide on virtualim, but i am still unsure where to go further....

I have virtualmin set up on Googles VPS and have a 1 static IP for it. I have domain.com registered at namecheap AND i (as from guide) did register nameservers under the "Advanced DNS" options, that point to said static IP (ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com pointing to same one IP).

Now iam unsure what i have to do next to make those name servers work?

Unable to receive emails

OK. I've messed up somewhere and I don't know where but all external emails are being rejected.

Does anyone have a working config file that supports SASL for both POP and SMTP please as right now, I can't receive any emails from external sources on my internal site.

Alternatively, if someone could give me a few pointers of which bit I should look at in the main.cf or master.cf (or even both) then I will try and "rebuild" my config files accordingly. I am using the default POSTFIX/Dovecot install.

Send outgoing mail via host Postfix setup

Afternoon all, Ive recently reinstalled Ubuntu Server with Virtualmin / Webmin on a home pc in order to test some website functionality part of this function is to send emails for an invite system and also confirmation emails however I realised because im on a dynamic IP address my emails bounce back from hotmail.

cannot access my original Webmin/Virtualmin dashboard server3.foo.com.au after creating a new virtual server foo.com.au

hi guys,

(foo.com.au is my domain name)

server3.foo.com.au is my original Google Cloud Debian hostname FQDN. Virtualmin was installed to this hostname fqdn.

foo.com.au is the new virtualmin virtual server i just created on the above instance

have i made a bad mistake in doing this???

My original virtualmin install system hostname is server3.foo.com.au (internal ip address 10.152.0.4)

missing AWstats file

Hi,

I've been trying to fix an issue ive had with installing AWstats, after a forced fresh VPS & Virtualmin Install I am unable to get it running again (it was so simple the first time!)

When trying to access 'AWstats Report' for any give Virtual Server I get the error

"Failed to open /etc/awstats/awstats.DOMAIN.TLD.conf : No such file or directory"

I'm unsure how to create these files or force Virtualmin to make them, I've check the settings for the virtual servers and AWstats is checked,

Trying to repoint Apache to a subfolder, none of the obvious ways seem to do it

Hello everyone!

I have a domain (we'll call it greatsite.com) configured in Virtualmin. I configured it last year on the Virtualmin server and gave it content using one of the included templates. It isn't the most trendy looking website, but it got the job done.

This year, we wanted to modernize it. We got Virtualmin Pro and used the Wordpress install script. Ran the script, accepted the default /home/coolsite/public_html/wordpress folder path, and got to work making it pretty.
