Help! (Home for newbies)

I am having problems with either bind or httpd on my machine using virtualmin pro. The machine is running on Fedora Core 3.

It will sometimes fail to load a page if www is included in the URL, and then all of a sudden it will work, and then it starts failing without the www.

I have tried to fix this over and over.

I am lost!!! Are these domains and httpd.conf setting up right?

Hello. I'm new to webmin and need to enable htaccess. I've built a new site and can't go live until I've done this, but I have no idea what to do except that I have put somthing (?) into httptd.conf

Can some one please help a guy out here?

I am running Virtualmin (GPL) on a freebsd system and started using LDAP to store users and groups to avoide max username length of 16 characters. But for some reason I still recieve the error when I try and add username.domain But everything works fine when adding shorter names, I am checking with the Ldap users and groups module for webmin. Am I missing something? Do I need to setup the Qmail-ldap in virtualmin config.

I just bought and set up Virtulmin 3.26 on clean Debian Sarge 3.1 server and ran Virtualmin's configuration and I got the error...

The Apache mod_dav module must be installed before DAV can be used.

I checked to see if the Libapache2-mod-snv was installed with aptitude and it was. So to be safe, since this is a clean install I reinstalled it. There were no errors and the package was installed

Anything else I can do?

Every 2-3 months, my ISP renegotiates IP subscriptions and we all find ourselves drawing from a new pool of IPs on our local network. Is there a way I can change the 'Shared IP' of all existing and future virtualmin servers without having to delete and recreate accounts?

Have a problem with Procmail. I want to deliver my spam to a folder called "spam". I have made a procmail file via usermin. It looks like this:

:0 * ^X-Spam-Status: Yes spam/

Spamassassin is taging the emails, so I know it works. I just can't get those to the spam folder. I do not have a .forward file. Do I need one and if so what should it contain?

I"m having horrible problems with some critical packages that just stopped working. Its a long list but all the Drupal installs decided they couldn't find GD. and on and on.

This was from the yum log at around the time it all started.

• OS: RHEL4 (updated just a little bit ago, only "tzdata" update available at the time)

We have a basic 2-tier setup: Web Server / DB Server

Both run Virtualmin Pro.

I have everything (I believe) setup to point the Web Server to the DB Server as the MySQL DB Server. Accounts and databases are created.

The issue is when a new account is created, the MySQL user is created with "localhost" as the host the user is allowed to connect from.

is it possible to control the length of the password automatically generated by webmin. the length and also the characters included. Like removing caps and introducing numbers?
