Hi there,

I've copied an existing database to /var/lib/mysql/ and wanted to import it with Virtualmin GPL.

Unfortunately, I don't see any databases in the selector box - only information_schema (MySQL).

What do I have to do to make the new database appear in the selector box?

I've read many postings about other users having the same problems, but I cannot seem to get the "create database" button/link in the virtualmin end user inteface (version 3.44.gpl) despite having changed the global default server template and the "Server Owner Limits" (see attached screenshot). I can only edit the MySQL database that has been automatically added by Virtualmin.

Any pointers as to what I might be missing would be very much appreciated.

When I try to update Webmin I get the following error:

warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID a0bdbcf9 Public key for webmin-1.360-1.noarch.rpm is not installed Retrieving GPG key from file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-virtualmin GPG key at file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-virtualmin (0xA0BDBCF9) is already installed

When I try to update to the latest version of Virtualmin (using yum), I get the following error:

You may remember that for my system we had to manually add lookup-domain.pl to /etc/webmin/virtual-server

It seems that are might be other files missing as i get cron complaining

The ones I know are missing are: collectinfo.pl fcgiclear.pl spamconfig.pl

What shall i do? Should I add the same wrapper of these programs that are in /usr/share ?

Seems like you really know the business, I'd appreciate some help on this :)

I have 5 sites. All with GoDaddy and all filled at EveryDNS. I started using EveryDNS services because I wanted to use GoogleApps in my sites. It works nice but after that my sites are usually down.

At GoDaddy I've the nameservers for EveryDNS and for my hosting provider too.

At EveryDNS I have the NS records corresponding to my hosting nameservers.

I had some issues with my server a while back that Joe graciously took care of.

Now, I am struggling with ProFTPd. Service won't start via command line. Won't start via Webmin.

Yet, I can ftp into the box. I don't see any other ftp running, but I am obviously missing someting here.

Can anyone throw me a hint where to start looking?

Hi all...

this one seems to be a bit tricky (if not impossible?!) and I could use some help and advise what to do.

Our server is currently hanging inside a small private LAN and our ISP assigned only 1 public IP to us. I am not sure yet if we will be able to get more, so I would like to see if I can get DNS up and running with only one (for now at least).

I'd also like to install on Ubuntu 7.0.4. In fact if I can't install on 7.0.4 I won't be using Virtualmin which would be sad.

I understand that the automatic install won't work, but the manual install instructions seem to be missing some steps.

I'd raise this as a support request, but I can't find instructions on how to do that either.

I'm a reasonably experienced Linux admin and perfectly happy using apt-get from the command line or compiling from source if necessary.

Is there any way I can install Virtualmin pro onto Feisty or should I give up now?

hi, im curious to know if it is possible through virtualmin or webmin for that matter, if i could have it automatically add new user accounts to a specific group apon user creation, if this is possable how would i be able to do this? if this is not possable would i be able to do this through the OS itself and how?
