Help! (Home for newbies)

I want to send/receive mail. postfix is installed but where can I find a tutorial for getting started. What additionally do I need to setup.

SSL website is not working.

I created IP based website. Can't see the problem apache configure file look o.k. and listen to port 443.

But when I making port scan i don't see port 443 provided by the server.

I just installed virtualmin and am trying to setup virtual domains. Virtualmin is not setup however it wants to check configuration. when I run the "refresh and check configuration" it says my system is not ready

"no virtual domains file was found in your postfix configuration. Maybe no virtual domain map has been defined"

I very new and cannot figure out what to do to fix this. please help

I have a fresh install going on Ubuntu everything checks out ok but PHP4 and 5 are not working for virtual hosts, main site is fine.

I installed php5-mysql by hand as it was missing in the installed applications and it works fine for the main site but not for any virtual site.

For virtual sites if I drop infophp.php file in the public www folder I get the catch all "Internal Server Error" from Apache.

Any thoughts?

Please help. All is workign fine with webmin, usermin and virtualmin. But when i install phpmyadmin via apt-get install phpmyadmin it installs fine, but i cannot access it by http://localhost.localdomain/phpmyadmin. I have tried the virtualmin third party module (virtual phpmyadmin) and (phpmyadmin1 for usermin) but they do not work either. All i get is a internet explorer cannot display the page.

Have i installed it or configured it wrong. Please help.

System - Debian Etch Error Log - None in the logs

When I try to install using the install.sh, it failed. I found "install.sh --fix-missing" method and it show an error as follow: "Package wbm-virtual-server-3.47.gpl-1.noarch.rpm is not signed"

I use rpm to check the package downloaded to cache, and found the package "wbm-virtual-server-3.47.gpl-1.noarch.rpm" was not signed.

If you want to enable MySQL support in PHP5 in Ubuntu follow along...

SSH into your server and type this:

View your newly created file "packages.txt" in your favorite editor, I like to use an FTP server then move it to my local computer for easer viewing. Look for "php4-mysql" and "php5-mysql" assuming your setup was like mine you are missing php5-mysql.

So lets install it with: [code:1] apt-get install php5-mysql [/code:1]

Debian 4 box, virtualminpro 3.47

Any idea why an index.php page will not work? It consistently gives a url not found (404) error. I checked the Apache directory indexing page and it is in the list.

Also now that the upgrade to 3.47 happened, my email addresses don't always work from outlook. It checks the email address and then the box with the user id and password comes up. I click OK and sometimes it finsishes and sometimes it just pops back up.

Debian 4 box, Virtualmin 1.36 I had an email there were upgrades this morning. Virtual min, webmin, themes. When I go to install them in Virtmin modules, it stalls out on the Webmin Virtualmin server install. Any ideas on this. Has it screwed my box up by not completing? Here is what it says:
