Hi everyone,

I just buy i Virtualmin and install on a fresh CentOS 5 install, i installing with the script ...

Everthing it's ok exept when i test the first domain ... the web pages canot display a French accent à, ç or é etc ... im hosting 30 french web sites ...

I search for any setting in Virtualmin/webmin i see nothing about this ...

This anybody tell me what i need to change for diplay the accent, if i look in web pages with text editor everything stil ok ..

Hello, so after letting this problem go on longer then I wanted I think I have found out what my problem is. I use a custom BIND server template to setup extra records for any domain setup through VirtMin. Problem is, however, that these records don't fit in nicely to the host file.

I'm trying to install Virtualmin Pro on CentOS 5 (x86_64, installed with "Server and GUI" and GNOME options, and also opted to install emacs and java. After the installation, I also installed apcupsd for UPS monitoring. Otherwise it's a standard installation).

When trying to install Horde or squirrelmail via the install scripts option on my fresh Debian server I get the following error message:

HTTP/1.0 500 Perl execution failed Server: MiniServ/0.01 Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2007 21:35:52 GMT Content-type: text/html Connection: close Error - Perl execution failed

Undefined subroutine &php_pear::get_pear_commands called at /usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/scripts-lib.pl line 764.

This happened after updating Pear to the required version (1.6.1). Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Running install.sh yields some troubles, looks like it breaks when it starts playing with resolv.conf. Thing is, it actually installs the virtualmin interface which says that BIND is running properly. But I'd prefer everything to be properly and fully installed, given that it mucks with the apt dependency tree and prevents install of some packages unless I remove virtualmin-base. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I am close to having my sevrer set up, but it has taken a really long time because it is extremely difficult to get info on how to set stuff up with Centos 5/Webmin/Virtualmin.

Is there a guide/checklist to go through the different items?

For example I can't find much on antivirus protection for th server/email, nor can I get much on spam protection. I think spamassassin is working my machine,. but not 100% sure.

Also integrating phpmyadmin into each virtual domain. Additionally Squirrelmail or IMP/Horde - I successfully got Horde working but it wasn't easy.

One of my users has a PHP file that runs out of cron. It works fine if he runs it from the command-line under his account, and it works fine when it runs automatically from cron. However, if he uses the Scheduled Cron Jobs module in Virtualmin and clicks the "Run Now" button, it fails with the following error:

We have a severe problem: Our apache is not working !!!

Reason? dont know. i ve checked log files and nothing.

sudenlly the httpd.pid was dead and the service did not went on again.

We just have finish a migration. The old server we cannot take the license out of it, we also had to change the IP's to the new server. The new server received all the IP's from the old server, but the old server got new IP's,just in case. so now we have a warning of 3 servers using the same licence.

So, could the APACHE be stopped because of this ?

The web server document root on my server is /var/www/html/

When I visited the primary ip address in my browser before Webmin/Virtualmin I was shown the web pages located in the above folder.

After Webmin/Virtualmin install and adding some domains(bother ip and name based) when I visit ths primary ip address I am taken to one of my name based web sites and not the web site at /var/www/html/
