Help! (Home for newbies)

Hello,

I have a Virtualmin GPL server in commercial operations for 2 years and have always struggled with the Postfix config. I would like to configure Postfix to forward all mail generated on the system to a remote host.

We run a windows server to handle all our email accounts and would like to have this set as the default destination for all mail.

I have seen this referred to as a 'Null Client' but I can't seem to find any docs that relate to Virtualmin configs.

Any help would be great.

Hi, I've been using for a long time Web/Virtual/User-min with no problems at all. We made an upgrade a while ago and restored everything with webmin and virtualmin. The few problems were easily solved but...

In virtualmin the scheduled backups aren't working at all (the settings are made for all servers and all options) I mean no critical errors, no emails, all the options are checked, backup is enabled, no dirs or files created, nothing... I tried with simple/at dates and times. Is something wrong with the strf-time? I got this error:

I am using centos-5. I have managed to get virtualmin installed successfully. The install.sh did not work on my system so I had to install using the webmin module. Hi there,

Tried to activate .cgi extensions as per the instructions but kept getting an error 500.

From the virtual server in question the log showed: Options ExecCGI is off in this directory

From error log of suexec: command not in docroot

After a search for 'command not in docroot' I noticed reference to Apache2

Did a search from webmin for 'Packages matching apache' and got:

Packages matching apache

I'm just wondering if there's a way to control what site a user would see if they accessed the server's IP directly.

It seems to use the last virtual server that you create...

Iam using openwebmail for my users to access there email.I add a Virtual domain user mailbox such as service@digihlp.com (POP3/FTP login service@digihlp.com) and virtualmin creates it In domain digihlp.com when i try to access it via Openwebmail UserID: service@digihlp.com i get the following errow Invalid Login Password incorrect! I've just set in Webmin's ProFTPD config to restrict users to their home directory. This works fine for top level virtual servers, but it's when I use them on sub-servers is there a problem.

Logging in as domain administrator will jail me into /home/domainName - which is fine. However, when I create a subdomain 'subdomain.domainName.com' no administrative user is created. Presumably, this phantom user would get jailed in /home/domainName/domains/subdomain.domainName.com

hello, im looking for some assistance on this, i get 3 or 4 pieces of spam in my inbox each day, i have set spam assassin to prepend "Spam: " to the subject of all emails that it deems to be spam, this helps alot when checking my emails because they stand out a bit, anyways, what i would like help with is setting up spamassassin or procmail or postfix (which ever this applies to) to send the spam mail into a junk folder in the user account instead of just laying it into the inbox. any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
