We are evaluating your software, we have thousands of domains/accounts in other systems and hundred of new ones every month to create.

We already have installed a i386 server with Ubuntu 6.06 LTS without major problems, the cdrom line in the sources.list was wrong, your php.ini needed some minor security adjustments like allow_url_open = Off, the default apache2 version was the wrong one ...

Now we are testing an IBM server with with Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (64bit) and the apache2 version is the wrong one too, this is what we did:

There seems to be a problem with my freshclam.conf. It looks like this after upgrading to VM Pro:

[code:1] false false false Checks 1 DatabaseMirror database.clamav.net[/code:1]

And when I try and get an update I get the following message: [code:1] ERROR: Parse error at line 1: Unknown option false. WARNING: You must specify at least one database mirror.[/code:1]

Any ideas?

I'm pretty certain I had configured this before, but now for the life of me I simply can't find it (if it even exists, that is!).

When you login as a domain administrator for a virtual domain (which i already created as root, using Virtualmin default template settings), you click on 'Apache Server' and it takes you directly to the configuration for that domain. [For some reason it is called 'virtual server options' (as opposed to virtual server apache options'??)].

I used to use webmin for my site, but thought I would give Virtualmin a try (and first impressions are fantastic)

I do however have one problem.

With BIND on webmin I had two nameservers set up (copy and pasted from the backup file)

ns1.442forums.net. IN A 81.171.111.66 ns2.442forums.net. IN A 81.171.42.66

I cant work out, how to set these up with Virtialmin.

I think I have DNs issues (Report from checkdns.net)

having another problem which is postfix releated.

it seems my system insists on emails being delivered to: user-domain@host

instead of: user@domain

is there any cause for concern? I never used to have this problem until I switched over from a mysql+postfixadmin scenario.

This and my other issue are stopping me from upgrading to the pro version.

Do you have a time frame when you might have Hot spare available, and also VM2. I am looking forward to both packages.

everything working fine, create an email user for a domain. I log in as that domains account, i get restricted rights. when i log in as someuser@somedomain.com i get full Master Admin rights?!

Am i doing something Wrong

Im really confused.

Just a quick question. I have a few clients that just want DNS hosting and I was wondering if I could just create a new master zone for there domain in the BIND webmin module and set the IP's of there servers in there? Would this interfear with the virtualmin server in anyway?

Can server owners setup mail forwarding using a similar interface available to the server administrator?

I've looked for modules or permissions and only seen something about "Filter" module. This seems to make forwarding available to Usermin but then a big warning pops up saying it is unlikely to work.

I tried the "Quick Forward" anyway and got an ugly email like this....

<info@domain.com>: mail for domain.com loops back to myself

I added a virtual server for site example.com it's root is /home/example/

The site is accessable through: http://xx.xx.xx.xx/~example/index.html

but when I try to go to http://www.example.com or http://example.com my vps site loads instead which has it's root in /home/

What is causing this? Is it DNS?
