Help! (Home for newbies)

Quick question I hope someone can answer for me: Right now I've got email up and running via Postfix. I can send and receive emails through the Usermin interface and everything shows up as it should. My question is this: do I need to have anything else set for users to connect to their mail through Outlook? I'm not using @ in the usernames or anything. Here's part of my /etc/postfix/mail.cf file:

I am using ProFTPD and installed virtualmin about a month ago. Everything was working perfect and I was happilly on my way.

I tried to upload some files today via ftp but could not.

recently I have been using ftp often to test out new sites, but usage shouldn't harm it or create problems.

Anyways all virtual sites are affected. I can login and the NOOP command still works.

FreeBSD 6.1 Virtualmin Pro

everything setup by hand (I am not so noobie ;o)

one problem, or feature request:

when I am moving virtual server (parent is converted into sub-server) everything is going right, but Virtualmin won't change SuexecGroup in httpd.conf (I must do it manually) and same problem is with php.ini - I must manually change substituted lines.

Is it a bug or feature request or my fault ?

i have Virt pro. i set up a reseller. created 3 VS and i can see then. no one else can see the VS.

We are getting this error by one off our servers (the licence is being used just in one server):

"... A problem was detected with your Virtualmin licence : Your serial number is licenced for only 1 servers, but is being used on 3 ..."

We did make a few installations (we are testing your software) but this licence was never used in 2 servers at the same time.

hi is there a simple way in VM to configure it for ddos protection? I read this document http://www.rfxnetworks.com/apf.php and they offer software.

Would this make sense? Any other thoughts?

Hello everyone :) i have a problem with outlook :(

After setting up Virtualmin Pro fantastically with absolutly no problems and checking everything worked i was happy..

edit: including usermin send/recieve

But when i tried to connect to the mailserver via outlook everything seems to work over plain-text login, when i click 'test account details' in account setup but then i do 'send/recieve' send works recieve doesent.

i get this error;

VIrtualMin GPL 3.51 CentOS5 Webmin 1.390

I have not been able to find how to stop email notifications of successful cron jobs. I would like to stop these emails (several dozen per day). Being able to redirect emails from "root@myserver" to another email address would also be acceptable. Does anyone know how/where this configuration is set?

Hi, Just starting to use virtualmin with my new web host and getting used to its concepts...

I have one virtual server (www.mydomain1.com) which has a mysql database.

I now want to serve another domain (www.mydomain2.com) - i believe i do this by creating a new virtual server through virtualmin.

however, i want that second domain to SHARE the same mysql db as the first one (the second one reports on it in a read-only mode)
