Greetings,

Have the following error after deleting a domain(s) from virtualmin and trying to create the same domain again:

Failed to create virtual server : A MySQL database called X or user called X already exists

both have been deleted either from CentOS or MySQL.

There is not database or account with called X on the system.

on a dell poweredge 1650 running centos 5.1 and VM Pro on a raid 5 configuration, is there a way to shutdown 1 disk, replace it with a new one and rebuild the new disk?

Or do I need special/other software for this?

Hi,

I would like to make a link on a site that points to a file in a login protected folder. There will be multiply files and sub folders.

I used to do this within the file manager when using Plesk. I don't see that option within webmin/others/file manager. Am I in the wrong area or blind?

I also looked in webmin/others/protected web directories. I don't see a place to enter a password. Is the "authentication realm" where I need to enter the password? And put the user name in the "users to allow" section?

Any help would be great!

I have a problem with the proftpd server. I can access it with some users using filezilla in passive mode, but with other users I am disconnected from the server.

here is the output of the proftpd log:

hi I have just bought VM pro, haven't installed it yet, but am using gpl version on a test server.

The to be used server is a Dell PE 1650 and I am waiting on a 73 GB disk I just ordered.

My question is: I have 2x 36GB disks installed as raid 1. The 73GB disk I want to use for backups and for extra domains

Can I use this extra disk for domains or just for storing files? Is this a wise set up or must I buy additional 2 x 73GB disks and set it to raid 5?

I have a virtualmin server which is authorative for the domains it hosts. When I configure the domains in their respective registrars, I put my virtualmin server (ns1.mydomain.tld) as the first nameserver and ns2.mydomain.tld as the second nameserver. I do not have virtualmin installed in ns2. I just want to have BIND installed, and if necessary, a program which tells ns2 that it will be a slave server for a domain any time a virtual server is created in ns1. Is that possible? I don't want to install virtuamin just to get that done.

I am having trouble with the mail server. I can send mails to some addresses (like gmail) but not to hotmail. Is there any type of configuration that is needed for hotmail or any place I can look to check for any error when sending the mails?

Is this a usual beheviour?

i have a question, it may have an obvious answer but i have looked all over any possible configuration area to find the answer. my problem well not really its more like a convenience. anyways, the emails that the server sends out that someone's account has been created is sent under the name of the host-name of the server. the localhost name. like webmin@linux-server. is it possible that i could send it under my name or just change the @ending to my website address. i like webmin@ thats fine i just want to change the domain.

Was wondering where the heck are the default admin's settings? Not for per domain but for server etc. (admins email for example)
