Got a problem not covered by the docs? Don't know where to look in the docs or in the forums? All of the other forums over your head? If you're new to Virtualmin, this is the place for you.

hmm I thought I already submitted this, but don't see it:
Our sites migration is going well. I'm moving up now to the larger sites. Himalayan academy.com has 32 GIGS of data in the httpdocs(public_html) directory. No data bases, 1 SSL and two mail users. Simple but a lot of data. The PLESK Back up will be gigantic. Well, at least in my experience (others will have even more data no doubt)
My bad: I used one msg for three questions So, let me break them out now.
Of course you are right, mod_deflate is the correct choice.
I can just "order it" from ServePath Support, but I would like to cut my teeth on your advice and learn to do it myself...you imply that it is a supported module in VirtualMin. Where exactly does one to go turn it on? I don't see it as a checkable item under "Features and Plug-ins" and looking thru all WebMin panels (I wont' say i didn't miss it) I don't find any place to enable apache modules.
Installed via http link and Webmin which was already running perfectly on my system (Debian 4).
Sorry for my thread in virtualmin hosting, here is a better place.
Hi, I'm not able to create a user on a virtual server with FTP access. This seems to be since I changed mail server for Qmail+VPOPMail because now mails don't need real local users.
I can create a real user manually with /bin/false shell and give the virtual server group, and the FTP works. After, when I go see users in virtualmin in the virtual server, there is a bug in the page
I'd like to have a look at and possibly edit the raw user data files for webmin myself. How does webmin store user data? I tried looking through MySQL already, so I know that's not it. I've toyed with the Linux /etc/passwd too to see if that was the method to no avail. Where should I be looking?
Thanks
I am very new to virtual min and i am migrating over from cpanel, when i installed cpanel it used my domain (lets say) , domain.com and created a name server to go with it ns1.nameserver.com does virtualmin do the same thing? keep up the good work!
Using the Upload and Download option in Webmin
When I upload a zipped file to a directory and select "Extract ZIP or TAR files?"
It loads the file but wont extract it to the directory, says
Successfully uploaded the following files :
/****/*****/public_html/*********.zip (1524824 bytes) , which could not be extracted : Missing command unzip
Is there something I need to set before I can use the
"Extract ZIP or TAR files?" facility
I am on the curent Linux CentOS set up with VM Pro. I used Install Scripts to add Joomla 1.5 and that went fine (after adding PHP and a few other VM requests). Everything is going smooth until I try to change a template I just added through the Joomla admin installer. I can't change any of the directories.
Hi everyone!
I'm trying to install Virtualmin Pro on a fresh Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 system.
I've seen that Ubuntu 8.04 amd64 is on the supported systems.
* CentOS 4 and 5 on i386 or x86_64 * RHEL 5 on i386 and x86_64 * Debian 4.0 on i386 or amd64 * Ubuntu 6.06 LTS and 8.04 LTS on i386 or amd64 Only CentOS 4 and 5, Debian 4.0 and Ubuntu 8.04 LTS on i386 and x86_64/amd64 are supported for automated installation of Virtualmin GPL at this time. This is the output:
