Help! (Home for newbies)

HI Guys

i am tottally new to unix and after some research i managed to set up a centOS 5 box ran the yum update then installed virtualmin via the setup script and all installed fine with the exception of the clamAV not being able to update warning message.

my aim is just to have a home server where i can learn unix/linux and also have permant site and ftp and cvs access for when i'am out and about.

I have apparently installed virtualmin successfully and have created a mail user under my new domain, choked.ca:

[root@cserver homes]# pwd /home/choked/homes [root@cserver homes]# tree . -- dave-- Maildir |-- cur |-- new `-- tmp

5 directories, 0 files

My mail to this address is bouncing and I don't know why. I have read the virtualmin file:

When I try and backup a domain, I get this error:

mysqldump: Got error: 1044: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' to database...

I created the database using the vm database guey... why can't root access it?

I have DOMAINE.FR and i want it to be renamed DOMAINE.ORG -renamed-

Is the "Change Domain Name" can handle everything like DB renaming, DNS update etc ..?

I can't seem to integrate postfix to my mail client (thunderbird). Webmail is working but how come i can't use it externally???

I tried telnet my.do.main.ip 25 but I can't connect through it.

I have searched and searched but I can't find any documentation on how to install SSL certificates in Virtualmin. The only thing I have found is the SSL option under Services -> Configure Website. When I turn SSL on Apache will not start. I can not find any error message though. This is running on a Centos4 Server.

My first CentOS server so I installed Webmin and Virtualmin Pro.

However, I need the emails going through GoDaddy's mx records.... GoDaddy gives me 2 MX records to use yet I do not know how to assign these to the dedicated VPS domain I have working on my Linux box !

[note: I have one virtual private domain, and 3x other shared hosting domains.. 2 fixed IP's - 1x shared as the core IP, the other the dedicated IP, also using registered own nameservers pointing to the two IP's]

I am trying to do the following:

I want to be able to setup a redirect for horde to a specific url. What I would like to happen is that when someone enters http://mail.mydomain.tld for it to redirect to http://mail.mydomain.tld/horde

When I first installed virtualmin I set up my domain through the virtualmin control panel. Now I am trying to migrate my site into Virtualmin but I keep getting the error:

The domain "domain".com is already hosted by your Apache webserver

I have removed the virtual host from virtualmin and any traces of the host from the server. What am I missing?
