Help! (Home for newbies)

After creating a new FTP user I don't understand how to login through my FTP client.

Normally, when I log in through my FTP client I have to input:

Hostname: ftp.mydomain.com

Username: myusername

Connection: FTP

Password: mypassword

However, with the credentials given after creating the FTP user, I'm stumped on how to use them. I've tried to login but can't connect.

How do I connect?

I have a weird problem.

I have a cloud server on digitalocean in which I host several domains, some of that domains have Google apps configured.

The domains using Google apps can send and receive emails just fine just as domains using the postifix server in the cloud server can also send and receive emails successfully.

The weird thing is I am not able to send an email from the server to a google apps mail account whose domain is hosted in the server.

I've just installed VirtualMin on a fresh Digital Ocean droplet, but I'm get this error when checking configurations:

The thing is is that I didn't enable ClamAV or SpamAssassin because I don't plan on using this server for emails.

I thought maybe it was a memory issue so I created a swap on my server.

i am pretty new to Virtualmin and trying install it on a MS Azure Server (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS). Unfortunately i have some problems regarding the network settings.

Edit: in Azure my server is afaik behind a NAT firewall. I got this message from the Checking Configuration page: Default IP address is set to 100.91.xxx.xxx, but the detected external address is actually 23.97.xxx.xxx. This is typically the result of being behind a NAT firewall, and should be corrected on the module configuration page....

hello all -

i started looking at Node.js and get the impression that anything done with Node.js supersedes the apache webserver and might bypass virtualmin as well.

there is a node.js MVC framework called Sails.js and i am wondering if there is any compatibility with this approach and virtualmin.

any thoughts on this?

I have several URL's that I want to redirect to one site. The URL's are common misspellings of the main site. If someone enters one of the misspellings I just want to redirect them to the correct site automatically. Email isn't a consideration for any of these sites. It seems like this should be simple but I don't know the search terms to look for.

This error appears when I try to upload a file, even for small files (~80k).
Fresh install, a can't figure out where I should configure to fix this, google does not help.

The site works just fine, only the file uploading doesn't work.

I tried to force TMPDIR in php5.fcgi, SetENV in .htaccess, upload_tmp_dir in php.ini... I'm lost.

Hello, I have dedicated server running on Centos6. I installed Webmin and configured my domain as http://example.com and installed a RapidSSL certificate.

I did try to disable SSL, but then i can't access https://example.com.

When I am trying to connect to http.... it works perfectly alright. Only problem is with https....

When I am trying to connect to https it isn't open from "/home/../example.com/public_html", but redirect to "/var/www/html/".
