I was trying to edit and configure Bind DNS Server. But now it's look like there is no problem when I pressed start button in webmin. But I guess there's lot error configuration when I set it. So I would like to reset BInd DNS Server configuration to default (like first webmin installation). May I? What should I do? Because my Domain has DNS Server but it's not resolving till now :')

My server needs to migrate from one network to an other one in the same datacenter. My hoster advices to add the new ip, configure my services to work with this new ip, then updates DNS to point domains to the new ip, and once everything is ok, remove the old ip of network config of my server. But I have one issue: I have added the new IP in Linux, it appears in Virtualmin and I added it at the config of Virtualmin but how to tell Virtualmin to handle the virtual servers on both IPs ?

My ISP is going to change IP of my server in the next few months ! Out of update of the DNS entries, it advised me to add the new IP as failover so I can get during few months both old and new IP. What consequence does it have on Virtualmin ? What do I need to update ? modify ?

Okay, here goes. I've searched the web and found references to the issue, but can't fix with the referenced documents.

Problem: All domains open the same "Default website for IP address" (henceforth called "Default website...") virtual server.

Operating system Debian Linux 7; Webmin version 1.680; Virtualmin version 4.06.gpl GPL; Theme version 8.7

1. Changing the "Default website..." in the Server Configuration -> Website Options changes the website that is displayed.

I'm shure this is something that has been asked a dozen times... but please help me with this thing, i couldn't find any solution for this problem.

I would like to redirect my domains to a special folder in the same virtualmin server.

For excample:

123.com -> /public_html/

abc.com -> /public_html/shop

xyz.com -> /public_html/xyz

if also possible with sub-domains sub.abc.com -> /public_html/shop/subfolder/

Is this possible on 1 virtualmin Server? How can i create this redirection in virtualmin?

I'm getting '405 Method Not Allowed' error and a general '500 internal server error' when the iOS app I'm working on is making an API request to my server with VirtualMIn installed.

i am looking at the use of ruby and node.js. both of these seem to have their own "server" running alongside apache.

when i am using the virtualmin virtual server, and somebody references a url something like:

Mailsetup problem with postfix (I guess) Virtualmin setup on ubuntu. I have DNS provided from external machine pointing at external IP. Setup like this: DNS mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com and mail.mydomain.com (MX record) all pointing at external IP. Everything working fine. Now mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com are put in Another machine with Another IP. DNS is now pointing at new IP but I would like to keep mail at old IP and server so I don´t change DNS for mail.mydomain.com.

A simple question: I want to fully optimize my configuration to speed up my dedicated server. Can you tell me what apache modules are essential for Virtualmin? I routinely uses PHP, MySQL with Apache.

I disabled the DAV functions and so I removed the 3 modules enabled by default. I also removed the ruby module I do not use that language. I would deselect well as the proxy module and its extensions (balancer, connect, http) but I'm less certain of possible side effects.
