Got a problem not covered by the docs? Don't know where to look in the docs or in the forums? All of the other forums over your head? If you're new to Virtualmin, this is the place for you.

Can't share ip addresses any longer, or I've fogotten how.

This is the second time I've run into the problem. I have a VPS that I have one server running virtualmin . It has a single ip address. I added a new virtual server. When I open "IP address and forwarding" I see Network interface with two selections. Shared on IP 127.0.0.2 and virtual with ip Already active If I do nothing I end up with a server on 127.0.0.2, which is pretty useless if I want it to be known outside of my lan.

I cannot start proftpd whenever I click "start" the following error is thrown:

Failed to start FTP server :

The journalctl -xe shows some usefull info:

[SOLVED] A question about ports: which ones can I safely close or move?

Hi,

I have a question about which ports on my Centos 6.7 VPS I can safely close or move to harden the server a bit. I should say that there are only two users with only email accounts, so no FTP or anything like that.

Also, I have the following fail2ban jails activated:

Fresh Virtualmin install, strange problem!

This is wp-config.php file

  2. define('DB_USER', 'database-username');

Removing unwanted virtual server (after migration) without disrupting DNS

Hi

I have successfully migrated a virtual server from Server A to Server B. What are the steps for removing the old virtual server instance from Server A, given that Server A still holds the DNS? I tried disabling the virtual server on Server A as a test, but this seemed to also disable the zone in DNS. Concerned that if I delete the Virtual Server I will also be deleting the DNS entry, despite it now pointing to the Server B instance, as I want it to remain.

Implement Letsencrypt

Hey, i noticed that virtualmin got the native feature of using Letsencrypt. I tried and i failed :) I installed everything and it worksfor the domains, but not fr the hostname and my postfix/dovecot servers. I´ve not changed any settings, there are simply the ones after thebasic installation.

It would be pretty cool if you guys can give me a quick guid how to use Letsencrypt certificates for alle the webmin features :9

Thanks alot Helias10

roundcube on local network gives http 404 error

Hi,

I have a virtualmin running and update to the newest version. However when I install the roundcube script, and I navigate to http://10.0.0.158/roundcube which is my virtualmin server, (running locally for now to test) I get "Http 404 - Not Found: The requested URL /roundcube was not found on this server." even though the script ran fine. Of I go to https://10.0.0.158:20000 that email client works fine but I would prefer roundcube.
