I've setup a new virtual server so it proxies the request to one of our internal server, which work in https and point to it's internal IP address. I've added the "SSLProxyEngine on" "SSLProxyCheckPeerCN off" "SSLProxyCheckPeerName off" lines to the site config. Now when I try to access the https external URL, I get the normal login screen of our internal server, but with elements missing. If I try to login, I get : Proxy Error

I've got a vm pro server with about a dozen hosted sites. I recently had a wordpress compromise that could have been avoided if the updates had been applied. Is there a way to configure Virtualmin to send me an email when security (especially) updates are available for site sw packages become available? I know I can go into the install scripts page for the site manually and see what scripts have updates, but it would be useful if the updates came to me rather than me having to check manually.

Hi, i installed geoip and i had problems because keep saying

Error: Plugin init for plugin 'geoip' failed with return code: Error opening geoip.dat at (eval 5) line 4973, line 717. (A module required by plugin might be missing). Setup ('/etc/awstats/awstats.dnd.arkalseif.info.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.

i go to the /etc/awstats/awstats.dnd.arkalseif.info.conf and then i find that its only adds

LoadPlugin=geoip

so i change to this LoadPlugin=geoip GEOIP_STANDARD /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat and work

I've made a subdomain and added a user with ftp access. I don't know how to configure the starting directory. I want the login directory to be the public_html folder so files can be uploaded there for public access. Advice?

Hi,

When I login with the main account of a "virtual server" using SFTP I can create folders in the public_html folder, but when I go into a folder and try to create a folder there I get a "permission denied" error.

I tried creating a new ftp account using the "Add a website ftp access user" under "Edit users" I get the following error when I try to connect: "Received unexpected end-of-file from SFTP server".

Any help is much appreciated.

I've performed a fresh install of Virtualmin on a CentOS 7 box. I am using a startSSL certificate for my site. I can happily connects to the virtual server using SSL, but when I try to access the Virtualmin UI on port 10000, I get ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED on my work machine and 'Your connection to this site is not private' from my mobile. Clicking 'details' on the mobile displays: The identity of this website has not been verified. Server's certificate is not trusted.

The system hostname is showing a completely different IP to the IP listed for the vnet 0 interface on this one VPS. Usually, the default IP address for the VPS and the hostname show the same IP address.

Any ideas what is wrong? Or how to troubleshoot?

Hi. We just installed a new dedicated server with virtualmin. We created our first domain and everything works fine. The problem is we need to connect the email we just created with email clients like outlook.com (hotmail.com), gmail, outlook express etc. Let's say we have mydomain.com pop3 server configuration: mail.mydomain.com -> 110 without secure connection smpt server configuration: mail.mydomain.com 0-> with ssl connection (25/465/587)

Hello. Currently running the latest Centos 7 with the latest webmin/virtualmin. When logging into php myadmin i see this message: A newer version of phpMyAdmin is available and you should consider upgrading. The newest version is 4.5.5, released on 2016-02-22.

Which would be a safe way how to update?

trying: sudo yum upgrade (nothing to update/upgrade) Looking in the virtualmin / webmin, refreshing modules, nothing new to update/upgrade

How can this be updated. Or just patiently waiting up until the new version will be offered for CentOS 7 or for virtualmin?
