Help! (Home for newbies)

Hey,

I'm running Virtualmin on CentOS 7. I've always been running MySQL. Since last week, the server seemingly automatically removes MySQl and replaces it by MariaDB. All virtual servers lose database connection. It happened two times in the middle of the night.

I'd like to keep using MySQL instead of MariaDB. How can I prevent the system from removing MySQL and installing MariaDB? Is there a repo I have to remove?

Is there anywhere that a global email address can be set for notifications generated by Let's Encrypt or even only send a notification on error?

Currently it appears they are sent to the host account's contact email address. This is the same email address quota notifications are sent and site owners don't really have any interest or want to receive notifications their security certificate has updated every month or two.

If not could something along these lines be added to the Virtualmin wish list?

Hi there. I'm in a bit of a panic. I upgraded to Mariadb 10.2 today.

All went well i think! However, email isn't working.

It was running for over a year with no issues. Now my phone seems to connect to the incoming server (doesn't download emails though) but it won't connect to outgoing. It just says cannot connect to server error 3014.

Would really appreciate some help with this as soon as possible!

I am running it on my Debian 8 with great success - except for the mail part.

I have installed the Webmin and Virtualmin, and set the DNS for some domains like frios.dk and fricomputer.dk - and the website works great.

But somehow I can't get the Mail Server up and running, so I can get my very own mail server.

Trying to setup BIND DNS, ns1. & ns2., master & slave, configured true (DNS Slave Auto-configuration). domain.tld is all virtual till ns1,ns2 are setup (req. from my .tld) Anyway I'm getting this error:

This happens for even new Virtual Server. DNS Records does't show up under Server Configuration, but shows up under Webmin>BIND DNS>Domain, I have included a screen shot, look ok, but then again its my first time setting up nameservers

I got a problem with one of my servers. The server has reverse DNS points to cp1.example.com. The server uses this as hostname, and same goes for postfix. I've compared settings with one of my other servers, can't find any that should explain why I got "unknown" instead of my hostname in my mailheader.

Also a spam test sending mails triggers RDNS_NONE with spamassassin, so it seems to be an issue I need resolved.

When I verify settings in postfix, hostname is indeed there and correct.

Do you guys have any idea about what could be the issue?

How can i edit the local disk partition? It says it full but i have at least 25gb on my linux vps which is free? Anyone could help please?

Good morning this is my first time with Virtualmin/PHP, so please be patient!

I'm going to install nextCloud. I installed a virtual server for hosting nextCloud and installed successfully PHP 5.6. Now, nextCloud installation procedure ask me to install some PHP modules: "PHP module mb multibyte not installed" "PHP module GD not installed"

I tried install them via Virtualmin interface, but no success.

How can I install these modules (and other if needed)? Thank you

I've been getting a lot of spam lately, even with SpamAssassin tightened down, greylisting on, and all the rest.

I feel better when I click the Report Spam button inside the Read User Mail interface when logged into Webmin/Virtualmin.
