Help! (Home for newbies)

A while ago I managed to install Virtualmin on my VPS following a tutorial online.

I have finished doing the following things: 1) Installed Virtualmin 2) Replaced Apache with Nginx 3) Replaced MySQL with MariaDB 4) Created a virtual server for my domain (ikigainetwork.moe)

The problem is during setup the initial setup I kept the name servers as ns1.ikigainetwork.moe ns2.ikigainetwork.moe ns3.ikigainetwork.moe

I had no idea what the purpose of this was. I also tried adding the above mentioned nameservers to my GoDaddy domain, but they weren't accepted.

I'm a highly experienced Linux / hosting admin but new to webmin/virtualmin. I'm going to refer to that combo as "panel" to reduce typing.

I'm generally finding it relatively easy to get things done, but I don't understand a few things, like how to associate (db only) users with specific databases, OR how to create databases where they need to be created. I used Webmin to import a SQL file exported from phpmyadmin into a new db, then created a user.

Hi all, i'm newbie for virtualmin In a server with more domains, i need to activate https in some domains. I've created a SSL Let's Encrypt certificate with no problem. Now, can I forse, only for one or some domains (not all) that all http request go to https? I don't find where :( Thanks

Hi there,

I am currently using Virtualmin with the "redirect non-SSL to ssl" option enabled, and also phpfpm.

Doing so creates a Redirect rule and a Proxypass rule which redirects all http pages to https and all php files through fpm.

However, it seems that my php files pass through the proxypass rule without the redirect rule taking effect. As a result, all my php files accessed with a http link are not automatically redirecting to https.

What would be the simplest way to resolve this conflict? Thanks!

Hello, I have a VPS with WHM/Cpanel that I'm using only for one website. The license for that software is expensive, and I want to use Webmin instead. The thing is that I don't know how to do the migration. Is migration even necessary or can I just install webmin and stop paying for WHM? Also I want to know if Webmin has Phpmyadmin and ftp and email accounts administration, which is what I use. Thank you.

hi, i'm trying to ban 103.207.39.206 on my centos 7, virtualmin gpl, fail2ban 0.9 system. here's a recent entry from /var/log/maillog:

iptables shows an entry for that ip:

I am confused as to why every incoming email automatically deleted if accessed from pop3.

I just login via pop3 emails suddenly disappeared or was deleted.

I am trying to install Lets Encrypt SSL's on all the sites in my VPS, using a single IP address. They all work as expected however the Apache error logs are showing:

RSA certificate configured for mydomain:443 does NOT include an ID which matches the server name

On all sites. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
