hello, my site in http is doing (and still doing) fine but after added the ssl version of the .conf file for my site, when i enter the same url but with https, it is redirected to the Debian Apache default file. I added the directory to my site as said in the apache2.conf file, but still cannot access the site in https.

I read the userguide for backup already. But i'm still confused about incremental backup in the following scenario:

_ I have 1 daily full backup to backup only files, not media of my domains _ I have another weekly full backup to backup only media (images) of my domains

If I now create an incremental backup for all domains, which one the incremental backup will compare to?

I am trying to use the following code in my .htaccess file:

RewriteEngine On

RewriteBase /

RewriteRule ^index.php$ - [L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

It works on other servers that run apache.

I've created a number of virtual servers from my admin account in VirtualMin, but I have an issue with the folder permissions.

I would like to be able to access all those folders, myself, for all the virtual server's I've created. I cannot see how to do it though. I've tried adding my admin username to the usergroup of each of the virtual servers, but I still get refused permission to access their directories.

Could someone point me in the right direction how I can create virtual servers and have full access to the folders as the admin?

I opened this topic but it seems to have disappeared so here it is again:

When I click on the "Open Webmin" button in Cloudmin of my monitoring server for any of the managed systems, I get an error:

Invalid SSL certificate : Certificate is for web.mysite.com, not 178.xxx.xxx.xxx

I just noticed this recently, previously all was working just fine. Anybody has an idea on why this happens?

I've been trying to set up my mail server for days. It was working, until I tried to put SSL and now I can no longer send MESSAGES. At this point I disabled everything related to SSL in both dovecot and postfix and I get (same error with SSL enabled):

I've got a fresh install of Vitualmin GPL on an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS - and I have no /var/log/mail.log that I can see.

It's not a super issue but a little annoying. Looking in the /var/log/syslog - there do appear to me mail related entries. Ones relating to inbound emails, spam, etc.

A bit of Googling suggested I examine /etc/rsyslog.d/50-default.conf and the entry seemed correct,

-/var/log/mail.log

So not really got anywhere further. Any help\thoughts\guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a VPS running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS distro. Did the recommended things such as Iptables, Fail2ban, setting up SSH using keys and revoked account logins via SSH.

Everything seems to gone ok so far.

Installed Virtualmin GPL - at this time I didn't have a TLD or other mapped to the IP, but a quick entry in the (windows pc) hosts file got over that. I do have a TLD which I'll hopefully point to the VPS today.

No errors - everything seemed fine. I even got PHP5 running alongside PHP7. Thought I was home dry - the complicated (or so I thought) stuff done.
