Got a problem not covered by the docs? Don't know where to look in the docs or in the forums? All of the other forums over your head? If you're new to Virtualmin, this is the place for you.

Malware?

I've noticed the following results listed below and don't know if it's malware or just a false positive from RkHunter. I did a fresh install of Centos 6 32-bit twice and still got the same results. These results were noticed after the install of Virtualmin version 5.99. Some have said when they reboot "httpd" again it goes away not for me. Rkhunter error messages "suspicious shared memory segments " and "malware" for the file. Anyone else noticed this?

Changing Wordpress default URL hosted on virtualmin generates access denied error

Hi

Apologies if this has already been posted, I have done a search on Google as well as on Virtualmin with no clear answer to my issue.

Essentially within Wordpress I am trying to change the default URL from test.example.com/wordpress to test.example.com

Doing this within Wordpress is straight forward and I have done on previous installs without Virtualmin.

The issue is when I change the URL within Wordpress, I get the following error:

Forbidden

Restoring from a full backup of all servers - no errors but page is hanging after hours

Today I decided to migrate from my CentOS 6 box with Virtualmin to a new CentOS box with Virtualmin.

I have full backups stored in my Amazon S3 bucket (a single file of 3.7GB for my entire server with around 10 websites).

I pointed the Restore process to my Amazon S3 bucket with my credentials, selected All Features (but not Settings) for the restore, and didn't touch the defaults under Other restore options. I then clicked the Show What Will Be Restored button.

Webmin Question

Hello All!

I am making custom commands in webmin to perform a restart on a service. I want to give this access to one of my staff members. If I create a webmin user, they can edit the custom command.. and change it to whatever they like.

Is there anyway to go around this? Or is this what usermin is for.

Thanks! :)

SMTP Reject Login - How?

Hi

I have almost completed my setup of my domains now but I'm stuck on one last part; and that is SMTP authentication.

What I want to be able to do is to prevent any unknown user from sending emails via my SMTP. If I (or anyone) uses an unknown email/address to authenticate I would like it to fail. Right now, no matter what username and/or password I'm using via Outlook, I can send a test email even with a totally bogus email/username, fred@adexxxlphia.co.uk, with or without a password which is totally insecure.
