Jamie, it would be nice if you would specify how you personally view the incoming and outgoing mail flow as you apply it in your programming. We know that various server programs may do dual or even triple duty in the various processes needed for handling mail. However, that overall process flow is not clear in viewing the software.

I installed Virtualmin a month ago and during the installation I think I missed something when upgrading PHP and installing Nginx with passenger. On another server, everything went well.

Apache2 is disabled on both servers.

Server 1 : Problems

Does anyone know why Webmin/Virtualmin uses Cyrus instead of Dovecot for SASL. If Dovecot is already installed, why add another application?

Also, what happens in the system if one wishes to change?

I can access https://192.168.0.87:10000 and https://ns1.hostingandlearn.net:10000 both on Ubuntu 16.04 desktop also I can access https://192.168.0.87:10000 on windows but I am unable to access https://ns1.hostingandlearn.net:10000.

So, I set up a server about a month ago with NGINX but soon after I got notifications that i had updates. When I checked it was "httpd" and Httpd-tools" but I don't have Apache installed on this server and didn't not intend to install Apache on it.

Can someone tell me what's going on here?

Also, is there a way to disable the Apache packages from installing on this server?

Hay, i want make ssl sertificate for domain (www.example.com, example.com), but my Let's encrypt menu very poor. I can't add few domains. how make full menu ? thx

Hey everyone so before i go ahead with my plans i just want to get a few things clear in my head.

So i have a decent VPS and im looking to go with the Virtualmin free version for now. I have a Domain Which is Registered but not yet pointing at my server.

I just wanted to know is there an order for doing things, ie should i point the Domain name at the nameservers on the VPS first before i install Virtualmin??

It has taken me long searching on forums and seems not to get it right, I have webmin/virtualmin installed on Ubuntu 16.04 Lts on hyper-v and I am to access https://192.168.37.155:10000 and https://hostingandlearn.net only on Ubuntu !6.04 while on VM and not on Windows 10. Please guide me if remotely I will appreciate.
