Apache Install

Hello,

I hope that I could get some help here. I am trying free version of Virtualmin on FC9. The problem that I have right away is that suexec does not use /home directory.

I do not know what does "recompile" mean, so I think I have to remove Apache and install it with correct switches. Could please someone help me with those switches. I understand that I have to use ./configure --with-suexec-docroot=/home.

Virtualmin codumentation says that I also have to have mod_fcgid enabled but I cannot find how to do this.

Ubuntu x86_64 problems

Hi there, I successfully installed virtualmin on a Ubuntu Linux 8.04 with x86_64 architecture...

But when I try to create a new virtual server, it gives me a fatal error looking for i386...

Is there a way for me to get the current installation to work with my 64bit OS or can virtualmin work in mixed 32bit and 64bit mode? And what files would I need to make virtualmin work without reinstalling the entire os and all the files currently on the server.

Re: Install Config for Apache

Hello All,

I was wondering if it is possible to do a per site php.ini configuration. I am installing osCommerce as a test and developement for a new site I am doing for someone. And it requires register_gloabals to be turned on. But I don't want it turned on for the whole server (All the Sites). How do I do this?

Thanks in Advance, Michael<br><br>Post edited by: HostHoboGuy, at: 2008/09/27 03:41

Backup Virtual Servers Backup failed : Failed to w

introduction I have recently started using Virtualmin GPL. Backup Virutal Servers is failing becuase the Default Temporary files directory (/tmp/.webmin) is only 1GB capacity. This only happens when backing up websites with a total size of over 1GB

error message Backup failed : Failed to write to /tmp/.webmin/210577_1_backup.cgi/domain.com_web when closing : No space left on device

solution I can get around the problem by changing the Default Temporary files directory to /home/tmp which has plenty of space.

Virtualmin thinks apache isn't running...

Hi,

I've installed Virtualmin and it's all running fine on my webserver, only strange thing I'm experiencing is that it reports Apache isn't running however it runs fine, I can browse to the pages and they are being served correctly.

This is the console text:

[code:1] [root@blah public_html]# service httpd restart Stopping httpd: [ OK ] Starting httpd: with SSL [ OK ] [/code:1]

theme 6.2

I know that I should write it into bugs (as I have 2 payed versions of virtualmin Pro), but ... I am laizy.

I got this error when I've tried to run 6.2 theme:

line 89 in left.cgi - sort_indent_domains method doesn't exist enywhere else.

I am running FBSD as I hope everybody know - I am that black sheep in linux world.

Starting Mail Server

Hi tehre,

I have installed and configured Postfix as my mail server after getting the virtual maps sorted out.

I now seem to be having a problem getting the mail server started, In the postfix configuration I click the start postfix - which it seems to do - that is until I do something else and when I return to the configuration screen it has reverted back and wants me to start postfix again.

I have also tried starting the mail server from the main vitualmin virtual server screen and that doesn't do anything.

Need help! Mail server won't send out mail

I have installed Virtualmin GPL on CentOS 5.1 using the install script. Everything is running good except mail. I can receive email, but it won't send email. When I look in the queue the reason given was connection timed out or blocked by isp. I tried changing it to relay by my isp and that didn't work either. I am using the free account at dyndns.com as my dynamic domain and dns. I can manage my way around linux a little, and this is my first time using virtualmin. Can anyone give me some help?
