I am not a tech person myself and I am trying to learn the system as much as I can. So I need to add gzip to the server so the files are compress and can load faster. There is the .htaccess file in the stats folder, but that's the file path to only a specific virtual server. I need to enable this globally, how can I do this?
I set up URL redirect for webmail.domainname.com to http://www.domainname.com/roundcube in servertemplate->default settings -> Apache website, but it is not working. Also I have set Redirect webmail to usermin to No.
Typing webmail.domainname.com leads to usermin login window (https://domainname.com:20000)
Hi guys, i have 2 issues:
Issue 1: I have 2 domain names i want to use on my server. I create vhosts for this but when opening second website it gets the data of the first website. I have 2 separate config files.
Issue 2: When i restart apache server it just gives me the following: Restarting web server: apache2 ... waiting and then nothing happens.
How can i fix both of these?

I've given up on trying to do this in my .htaccess file and I'd like to try to do this through Webmin. Could you please tell me how to do this redirection please?
I know it's in the Aliases and Redirects section of Apache, but I need some instructions please.

Have installed the manual way and by using the script. No matter what I do still can't actually fully login to Virtualmin. Username and password is accepted and all I'm seeing is a blue circular motion on the screen and NEVER actually logs in. Was getting an error message such as missing "Perl module Authen" and I installed that. As for a ptr record don't understand why I can't login to Virtualmin by ip as I can do that with Webmin. Using Centos 6.8 & 7 and still get the same result as listed above. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a virtual server through webmin configured for a domain name registered elsewhere.
I have only been using it for a web site at the minute, so have just changed the relevant A records in the DNS settings.
I now want to look at using email through webmin for this domain.
So, I have enabled mail for the domain, and created a user email.
1/ Should I just need to change a few more A records and the MX record as suggested in the virtualmin suggested dns settings?
2/ Should I ever need to change the nameservers??
In my Apache console I see the following warning when it is opened:
AH00558: apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1. Set the 'ServerName' directive globally to suppress this message
The warning doesn't seem to have negative effects but I would like to have it repaired.
Now I am using Webmin/Virtualmin and I am wondering whether that could/should be set there.
