Help! (Home for newbies)

I am trying to figure out how/where to configure authorized_keys file for ssh login.

I have no problem doing this on my other server. There it is /root/.ssh/authorized_keys

I cannot create a .ssh directory using filezilla. And I am not even sure that is where I would put it using virtualmin.

In cpanel, I see ssh menu but nothing there helped me. I guess the biggest mystery is why I cant create a .ssh directory.

hello, i have webmin/virtualmin installed. (4 websites installed) I did an update of modules yesterday and it just kept running (circle rotating in the middle of the screen.) I left it go over night and in the morning it had finished. There were quite a few modules which i installed over 3 successive install sessions I logged out. (login page came up) then logged back in, page trys to load for about a minute then when stops, the page is totally blank. Theres no menus, nothing. Im at a loss. obviously one or more modules I updated / installed mustve interferred with the system.

Hello....I have a schedule backup every night in server and works just fine. I want after the backup finishes to download the file to my local NAS server. I am having this problem though. Backup file cannot downloaded from any of my FTP users because it is has owner root...I am able to download it only with sftp and root login. I don't want this....How can I make a simple FTP user to download this file. I want this because my NAS has the option to synchronize folders through ftp but it can't connect to remote with SFTP....So I need an FTP user to be able to download backup files....

for my Installation of Virtualmin, I had enabled Webmin Two Factor Authentication using Google authenticator. Later on I decided to disable the TFA, I logged into Webmin and disabled it. Now when I open the login page, it only shows me username and password field. but when I enter the login data and press login, it returns Two Factor Authentication Error and won't let me login.

I recently decide to change plesk to virtualmin pro. When i create a virtual server now it create the root path in '/home/...' and I'm not able to access to website puting the domain in the browser. I had tried to change the document root from'/home' to 'var/www/html' and now for see the content of the website I have to use the url: mydomain.com/mydomain/public_html. How can I make it working directly in mydomain.com?

I've got a wordpress install where the databases use the vitrtualmin login password. As a security measure I'd like to change the virtualmin login pasword without changing the password access needed by wordpress - I don't want wp to stop working. What's the best way to do this?

im kind of new to virtualmin and everything and to this date i could solve everything by just using google or looking at this forum and some very helpful posts some of you made.

but i couldnt find anything that could possibly help my stupidity in this situation.

Hi, i am new to virtualmin. I am using Ubuntu and Debian. I allready managed to get a couple of virtual servers created. The thing i struggle with is the email part. I have read many docs but still can't figure out how to get this to work.

I configured virtualmin to receive email and also forward that email to my gmail. Both seem not to work.

Do i need to enable the following: server config-->email settings-->BCC incoming email to Not currently enabled in your Postfix configuration.
