OK, I've just got hold of a Dell PowerEdge T710 with 2x Intel Xeon 6 core CPU's, 192GB RAM, and 8x 1TB SAS HD's configured as raid 5, and I installed the bare bones, headless Ubuntu Server 18.04.2 LTS, then I set the server hostname to a FQDN, then installed virtualmin using the install script, and let it install everything needed.

Now the question is, how can I use virtualmin to create LAN only access virtual servers? When I created a virtual server via the virtualmin 'Add virtual server' page, the DNS records are pointing to my WAN IP not the servers LAN IP.

Hello I have an issue with email on usermin and I was trying to solve the issue on my own with my little knowledge but I was not successful. I am not able to view the inbox folder for any email account that I have created. it just hangs and tries to load the page but nothing more. After waiting for about 5-10 minutes it returns the following error "An error occurred listing mail in this folder :" and nothing more.

Have any of you faced this issue?

How can I solve it to see all the mailbox inbox files.

Since yesterday I encounter a rather strange issue. I have 2 VPS on OVH. Yesterday after the virtualmin/webmin update and a restart all the websites using PHP were throwing this kind of error:

I have a one-ip server with multiple virtual servers running. I added a MX record to each domain so I can receive mails on the server and I receive them in Webmin (mail UI).

Now I need to send emails through each website with PHP, without using an external SMTP.

I copied the postfix configuration on domain1.com, then domain2.com and the button disappeared from domain1.com.

Just learning Virtualmin & Webmin, as we make the switch from cPanel.

So I'm trying to create a mysql db and user which it seems I successfully did, however, in cPanel there is an option to add the user to a particular db but there doesn't seem to be such a thing in Virtualmin....

I gave up trying to solve this on my own, asking for help :-)

I have 3 domains, lets name them example1.com, example2.com, example3.com. Public IP: 89.x.x.x Local IP: 192.168.1.77 NAT enabled to forward all to 192.168.1.77

Installation is on a Ubuntu 18.

example1.com is for webmin. example2.com and example3.com domains are setup as virtual servers in Virtualmin.

My problem is, no matter what I do, example1.com domain's webpage loads also for example2.com domain.

Can this be solved and how?

Hi everyone,

I'm running into a small problem after doing apt-get dist-upgrade. Not the wisest action without making a backup, I have concluded. The damage is minor since I'm the only user on it but I have some webmail troubles and could use some help on how to fix it. This is a small DigitalOcean droplet running Debian 8.

My website isn't available either with http nor https.

It doesn't seem like it is a DNS problem as I can access webmin from mydomain.com:10000, so mydomain.com is correctly resolved to my server. My site is correctly displayed from webmin preview option.

I checked Website Troubleshooting but nothing worked.

Here is my access log :

I accidentally managed to "chown virtualservername /etc -R" and then used "for p in $(rpm -qa); do rpm --setugids $p; done" which seemed to restore ownership to just about everything. However now no mail is delivered to any mailbox on the server. /var/log/procmail.log is always empty.

After sending a test piece of mail to a mailbox, maillog shows:

I just set up VirtualMin on a new server (Ubuntu 18). When I try to create a new virtual host, I get the error "Failed to create virtual server : Failed to work out externally visible IP address" Possibly some configuration somewhere I need to change?
