Help! (Home for newbies)

First post so please bare with me. I have spent 2 weeks trying to solve all these problems. Most were just trying to restore / fix an old install of fedora 13 from 2010 Think my harddrive failed.

So I have new drives, newish computer, this is home server, worked so well for 6 years I forgot everything I did to get it going.

Centos 6, latest Virtualmin pro paying monthly. ,

Problems: mysql, proftpd, ssh, certificates etc. dont even get a test html page

I want to double-check that I'm getting this right, because after having studied the Backup and Restoration documentation carefully, I feel like something may still be amiss, and it's important to me not to mess up my backups, only to discover when I need them later that I did something wrong!

I want to backup to a single archive file, because that saves me requests to S3 (I have a lot of virtual servers), and I want to stay within their Free Plan limits (plus, if anything ever happened, I'd want to restore all the domains on my server anyway).

I'm a new user to Virtualmin, so I don't know if this is what it's meant to be like...

When I log in as a virtual server admin, I get the menu on the left-hand side -- two tabs "Virtualmin" and "Dashboard".

The Virtualmin tab is active and the menu below it offers things like "Administration Options" and "Logs and Reports".

Meanwhile, the main body of the page is on "Virtual Server Details".

So-far, so-good.

I can no longer edit Apache's config files of Virtualmin servers via the Virtualmin panel.

Go to: Virtualmin > select a domain > Services > Configure Website

Clicking "Edit Directives" pops up an error message:

Im not receiving any emails from outside my own network like gmail yahoo, but i can send e-mails. When i checked error log i found the following error:

                                                          dovecot: imap(support@idsbangladesh.net.bd): Disconnected: Logged out bytes=13357/112222

Is there anything i can do to solve it? What can be the possible reason for this?

I'm trying to figure the best way to setup a domain and have the postfix domain be mail.domain.com.

To continue to use virtualmin to create email accounts for the domain, is the easiest way to name the server mail.domain.com unless you can change a setting in postfix?

This is using letsencrypt and Ubuntu Server. The main reason is to ensure there is no domain mismatch.

My site somedomain.xyz is hosted in a virtualmin server with ns1.abc.com and ns2.abc.com. I have created another server with another ip which has ns1.111.xyz and ns2.111.xyz . Now i want to use the second server to use email for somedomain.xyz. Shall i only change the mx record of somedomain.xyz to abc.com? Will it work?

Hello, Is it possible to install say roundcube and rainloop together on same server? I have a mail server for domain for example ABC.com, currently I am using roundcube as webmail and it is installed in /home/ABC/public_html/roundcube Can I place rainloop in public_html folder without breaking anything?
