I've just done some updates to the Bleeding Edge packages repository for CentOS. It now has PHP 5.2.9, as well as a virtualmin-bleed-release package to make it easy to setup yum to access the repository.
I still don't (and never will) recommend the bleeding edge repository for anyone. However, there are some applications (Magento and new versions of RoundCube among them) that require 5.2.x PHP versions. If you must run one of these applications, we'd recommend you run our PHP bleeding edge packages rather than some random packages you find on the Internet (which we know to almost all cause problems due to various packaging glitches). We can also provide some (limited) support for these packages...whereas there is really nothing we can do if you use packages from non-OS and non-Virtualmin sources. We will close any support tickets you file related to third party packages, as we simply can't fix other peoples packages.
Anyway, the docs have been updated to include the instructions for using the release package:

I'll also mention that we'll be using these PHP packages on our new web server, as there's one Drupal module that we require that needs 5.2.x. Still not an endorsement of these packages or a recommendation, but they will be getting daily testing by us.
