Setting Reverse DNS

In VirtualMin under the BIND DNS server there are Reverse Address Records.

I was going to set these up but my dedicated server providor said that THEY have to make changes to the Reverse records because they do not delegate them.

So how is it that I can see and edit them on my BIND DNS if it is something they do.

Also - why do they keep that to themselves as I want to check and ensure all my DNS is correct especially to ensure email goes out properly.

Thanks for any input. David

rDNS isn't all that important.
Your ISP sends your box's dns to the root servers so they also have to send the rDNS to them.

it is that the arpa resolves to your name like
1.100.100.100.in-addr.arpa -> sv01.domain.com

you can do it in virtualmin because it makes sense it is there especially if you are an ISP
