Create sub-server/subdomain and then root domain 403's?

Starting with mydomain.com I follow the create sub-server/subdomain tutorial to create wp.mydomain.com at which point mydomain.com ceases to function with a 403 Forbidden error.

Why?

What O\S, Virtualmin version etc?

Also, assuming you are using Apache - post up your config (the VirtualHosts blocks).
