VM will not complete configutarion

Hello, I have been having problems today in trying to complete an installation of VM on a new vps. I have done this many times so it is not an error on my part.

The problem is when VM is trying to configure the installation, when it comes to part 3, it gets as far as 6/23, which is "configure firewalld", and it just stays there, with the indicator moving, but never completes and moves on to 7/23...I am using Putty to install VM.

The VPS is running CentOS 7 64bit, 50gb HD, 512mb Mem.

Any suggestions?

What does the log say? It maybe that it's taking a long time. You can try running it via screen, detach, then close putty and come back to it. First place to look is the log, there's a install log in root's folder.

also, are you running a minimal install?

512MB RAM is absolute rock bottom required RAM, i think if you dont run minimal it will fall over because there isnt enough memory
