How to set up two domains to use same dirctory and contents

Hi,

What is the right way to set up www. site1. se and www. site2. se using the same /home/site1/ folder. Should I edit the DNS domain for site1 and add site2 here. If so, what records do I have to add.

We have a customer that earlier did use two separate webshops on their domains for their companys, now they just want to use one for both domains, there is no problem for me changing the e-commerce engine to accept both domains. But i'm not shure how to change Webmin/Virtualmin Pro to point two domains to the same "home".

Regards, Leif

Hey Leif,

This is exactly what server aliases are for. Select the domain in the dropdown in the left menu, and then open the Create Server menu. Then click "Create Alias Server". Fill out the form, click "Create Server" and you're all done!

Hi Joe,

Ok, I think I have tried that before, thought the link-name was quite obvious but if I remember it right, the alias domain did not use/point to the real servers puplic_html, but I can be wrong here (believe it or not :-) ). And I thing it was over 6 month ago I tried this.

I'll give it a new try!

BTW, should I use the default template here, or my own template that I use for all our domains.

Ok, one more thing.
As I see it this option should NOT be selected, right/wrong?

The option: Setup website for domain

"....If this option is set to Yes, a new VirtualHost configuration section will be added to the Apache configuration and a new website home directory will be created."

Leif
