Problem with LOCALE and charset

Well.

We have a FC5 & Virtualmin system with

i18n LANG="es_ES.UTF-8" SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16"

Weh put any file wiht ftp, cfp and after open with emacs, or show on URL, national characters, show ilegal chars.

If show with vi I see a ilegal characters.

I'm very lost.

Try to put on i18n

LANG="es_ES.iso88591" but the same problem.

Hey Marco,

Make sure you're using "binary" mode for your FTP transfers. Text mode is stupid, and will break just about every file type (including text).

I don't know that that's the problem...but it's worth checking.
